JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2013 BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN Friday, November 1, 2013 MASWINGS yesterday announced that it would be flying to Bandar Seri Begawan from Mulu starting this month. The four-times-weekly Mulu-Bandar Seri Begawan route will begin on November 7, a statement from the company said. This is part of the new services that the budget airline will be offering in the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA). Besides the Mulu-Bandar Seri Begawan flights, MASwings also added a thrice-weekly service from Kota Kinabalu to Puerto Princesa effective November 19, according to its new schedule. Mulyadir Fitri 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2013 They are super expensive. In routes operated by MASwings, MAS and AK, you will always find MASwings to be the most expensive.

Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 Probably MasWings wants to capture those arriving tourists from UK/Australia via BWN to Mulu caves.
fenandri 3 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 well im not really sure about that, theres really not much tourist in brunei. for example only 4000 japan tourist entered brunei in 2011. while kota kinabalu received almost 8000 japan tourist in the first quarter of this year only. do the math 4000 vs 32.000 tourist. with that much tourist in KK, but maswings can only do 4 weekly flight from KK to mulu. http://aimp.apec.org/Documents/2012/TWG/TWG1/12_twg1_024.pdf http://kepkas.sabah.gov.my/2013/05/23/sabah-records-sharp-rise-in-china-tourist-arrivals/

BWN is the hub for BI, there may be other transit passengers. Bear in mind that BI and MH are codeshare partners. Edited November 3, 2013 by Mike P
Waiping 12 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 MEL - BWN - MKV instead of say MEL - KUL - KUC/BKI - MKV for example.
Teo 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 MEL - BWN - MKV instead of say MEL - KUL - KUC/BKI - MKV for example. now that make sense or even LHR-BWN-MKV but dont think there is MEL-KUL-KUC/BKI-MKV.maybe there is MEL-KUL-MYY-MKV
Waiping 12 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) Sorry Mulu should be MZV. According to Maswings flight schedule there is KUC - MZV vv on 2,5,7 and to BKI only via MYY daily. http://maswings.com.my/flights.html However, I did a mock booking and interestingly the BKI - MZV sector was listed as direct although via MYY is also listed.
