Imran K. 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2006 I love your first photo Mr. Lam. The Trents on those beauties enhance its appearance greatly as compared to the hairdryers on their 343's. Btw...that body of water behind the aircrafts...Is it a water treatment plant? Or a reservoir of some sort?

Sim Lim Shen 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 I missed HKG International so much. Whenever I flew out of HKG, I would check in early, and then walk all the way to the back and walk back to the front, so that I could pass through every gate to look at the aircrafts and be up close to them. Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 Amazing shots! All your shots are variety. Love that wide 340 wingspan. Do you have any from Kai Tak? Thanks Seth K. It is a shame and sad to tell you that, at the era of Kai Tak, I don't even have a camera, and..........not even know how to get there from home. Why? Cause I am still young that age and I live quite far away from the urban.

Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 I always find there are grains on the photos, I really don't know how to improve that. I have the same problem too. Someone advised to use lower ISO speed (100 to 400 even for night shots) and use AE mode at higher F. Sneeze: I transited at HKG today and now I know where your location for taking the 3 pics. I landed 7L and took-off from 7R. There are some small hills opposite of 7R and there is a perimeter road going round the rwy. I saw a CityBus (yellow body) too. I even saw joggers running along perimeter fence.

So, do you have any method for the problem? Yes, but it is inconvenient to get to there. Therefore, I seldom go to there. Sneeze, did you have to go up to the hill to take photos?? Yes, the same case as Taiwan - TPE or SanShan Choong, You are from NZ too? Edited March 22, 2006 by Sneeze Lam
Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 So, do you have any method for the problem? Yes, but it is inconvenient to get to there. Therefore, I seldom go to there. Yes, the same case as Taiwan - TPE or SanShan Choong, You are from NZ too? RCSS/Shungshan (Taipei city airport) - is quite easy to go. The good spot is at the rwy threshold. There is a small lane, and you need to stand in some vacant land (used for vegegable planting, abandoned land). Taxi is a convenient place to get there, all drivers will know that place. Weekends can be crowded...there are even hot-dog vendors too. RCTP/TPE (CKS airport) - this is quite difficult to spot around perimeter fence. Taichung airport - it is not so suitable for spotting because of surrounding land topography. Kaohsiung airport - good location, there are several open-air cafe/restaurants located parallel to airport. Open until late night. Stunning view of rwy with Kaohsung city in the background. Wonder if we could spot together. By the way, can anyone confirm which a/c type will be used on the flight mentioned above? It is said to depend on the day of the flight; does anyone know which a/c type? Hope it's the 772 or -3.
