"Black Eagles" – the Air Force Special Squadron engaging in the next Singapore Air Show
By Chul-Hwan, Kim | 12 December 2013 Sunday | 11:28:41

Black Eagles, the air force special squadron, will fly over 4,900km to take part in the Singapore Air Show with T-50B aircraft.

On December 4, DAPA (Defense Acquisition Program Administration) said that the Singapore Air Show, one of three international air shows, would be held from February 11-16, and the Black Eagles would participate in the show to promote exporting Korean aircraft, specifically the T-50. The feature of engagement in this Singapore Air Show is that we fly directly while the T-50 is taken apart, delivered and re-built in the last the U.K. one.

T-50B aircraft will depart from Jeju and arrive at Changi Airport in Singapore, via Indonesia, etc. Korean Air Force will dispatch three C-130 transport planes and 50 support personnel to conduct maintenance and fueling missions at stops.

“This long flight will be a good opportunity to demonstrate the T-50’s cruising ability. Black Eagles will fly once a day during the Air Show and show off its superiority and the Korean Air Force’s to every country,” said a DAPA relevant official.

Be dazzled by aerobatics at Singapore Airshow

12 January 2014 Sunday | 8:36 AM

A record four aerial display teams are likely to take part in the biennial event

Expect heart-stopping aerobatics at next month's Singapore Airshow, which is set to boast a record four aerial display teams this year.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force's Black Knights will be joined by the Republic of Korea Air Force's Black Eagles and, for the first time, the Indonesian Air Force's (TNI-AU) Jupiter Aerobatic Team.

The Sunday Times also understands that stunt pilots from China's People's Liberation Army Air Force August 1st, or Bayi Aerobatics Team, are looking to make their Singapore debut at the biennial six-day event at Changi Exhibition Centre. The six-man team made its international debut at the Moscow Airshow last August, flying the J-10 aircraft.

If its participation is confirmed, this will be the biggest line-up of aerobatic display teams to take part in the 65-minute aerial display since the Singapore Airshow began in 2008.

I just saw that Qatar's Dreamliner will be there at the airshow in the afternoon. Though now it's slot has been replaced with the Cirrus SR-22. Anyone noticed this as well?

WOW. That was.... FAST. Grinning from ear to ear now.

BUT only on 11th and 12th???? :(

I knew I should have been more specific.

Let's try it again.

The really optimistic side of me is hoping for the A350 to pay a visit during the public days.

Yes, the A350 is here to sell planes to the trade - so it is here for the trade days. However, at the last show, the B787 did not leave till the first public day.

Those wishing to see the first B737-800 of SilkAir should note that it will only come to the Singapore Airshow on Friday. It should by then have special markings for the airline's 25th Anniversary.
