Cathay 'no smile' rule

Recommended Posts

Friendliness is very subjective to culture, people from a more laid back culture and secured environment are more approachable, and most find people from the same tribe/kind/group/culture friendly.

People live in city like Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Osaka, London, Singapore, New York, Paris, etc seldom interact with strangers (include pax) with a friendly smile.

Hence, folks from outback tend to find city dwellers snobbish and unfriendly :pardon:

CX and KA crew are interchangeable as I was told by my folks who works for KA and friend who works for CX.

Yeah, seems like KA has the upper hand though I have not flew with them for a long long time.
