flee 5 Report post Posted August 9, 2013 Thanks Michael, Here is my shot of B-LAB taken on 1/8/2013. So this might be her first flight in KA color? Looks like they did not repaint the engine cowlings - they just added the Dragonair logo. Even that is unusual as the normal livery just has plain white engine cowlings. jahur 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2013 Bki radar defunct? Many delayed flights and I was stuck in the aircraft at gate for nearly 2 hours.
AlvinLvK 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2013 that was a pretty late departure, using MLQ after arriving from HKG as MH385...
Amirul Mazlan 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2013 Yeap, radar went down around 11-ish today. My flight out of Tawau was delayed 40 minutes. All arrivals and departures have to be sequenced for quite a distance from each other.

Waiping 12 Report post Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) She has been active for quite awhile now. MASwings latest toy ATR72-600 9M-MYA. Edited August 15, 2013 by Waiping
BC Tam 2 Report post Posted August 15, 2013 Pardon the ignorance, but is it possible to differentiate between the ATR72 -500s and -600s from a spotter's perspective ? (yes, the registration would be a definitive giveaway, apart from that ?) Thanks !
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted August 16, 2013 Between a 500 and 600 series there are no external differences. The big changes are the flightdeck and a newer version of the PW127. The only way to tell other than rego, is to look at the top of the fin (it says 600 instead of 500)
Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2013 I saw 9M-MYA in FR24 for the first time. Regarding the ATR72 - 500s and -600s difference, I think the latter sports a rather 'Zorro' style cockpit windows.
