JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted June 3 (edited) Fiji Airways Becomes Oneworld’s Newest Full Member Previously a Oneworld connect member, the South Pacific airline is now the alliance's 15th full fledged partner https://businesstravelerusa.com/news/fiji-airways-becomes-oneworld-full-member/ Fiji Airways has achieved a significant milestone by becoming a full member of the Oneworld Alliance, marking an important advancement for the South Pacific airline. Previously a Oneworld Connect partner since 2018, the airline has now elevated its status within the renowned alliance. Founded in 1951, Fiji Airways has steadily expanded its operations, now boasting a fleet of 21 aircraft, including Airbus A350s, Airbus A330s, and Boeing 737s. I did a quick check for Nov 13 till 16, 2024. KUL to NAN RM8,474 y class return via Sydney with Malaysia Airlines MH 129 and Fiji Airways/ Qantas QF3871. 16h 15min for total journey duration. There is another option 15h 45min, but will set you a cool RM12,180.00. Edited June 3 by JuliusWong

Anyhow Safran Rave ife after 2021 apart from 4k, comes with wireless headphone connectivity as standard even on economy. Technically you bring your wireless Bose or Sony noise cancelling headset and sync it to the IFE without needing to plug in anything. Only thing i am not sure if MH opted the OLED model or not cause Safran has updated a newer variant called Safran Rave Ultra which has some display upgrades. Like how they “won” an award for a J product 6 or 7 years before it had entered service. And even today it’s only on one aircraft or so. Goes to show how meaningless Skytrax is

JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted June 11 Affirmative, 9M-MVC will be delivered this Sunday, making a total of 4 B737 max 8. It is spotting the tailfin logo with songket motif.

Yea 4 meant for last year. And if based on q1 2024 projections 8 frame this year. Now no one is sure due to Boeings scrutinised FAA checks. Next year if i recall it was suppose to be 9-10 frames. For this year alone with everything running slow maybe 2-3 more frames that is if nothing new happens at Boeing that causes further pauses.

Robert 0 Report post Posted June 12 MH1 was cancelled last night. Perhaps 9M-MAC has a tech issue? Any inside info? Somebody has mentioned that passengers were moved to the Hilton Hotel at Gatwick and commented that its far away from LHR.

Robert 0 Report post Posted June 12 10 minutes ago, BC Tam said: Wow, that would be like a quarter circle round the M25 - each way 😁 true. A lot of the airport area hotels at LHR and LGW were closed and housing asylum seekers so a lot less availability.

I think to accommodate 200+ people (100+ rooms) is no easy feat. Maybe only the LGW area hotels have that kind of available room numbers at short notice.
