You guys have any suggestion where shall we meet?

 

I thought if Runway 20 in use, we well meet at Changi Beach CP5 in the morning.

If runway 02 in use, not sure which spot we shall go other than T1 viewing mall.

I wonder if it's possible to put up some sort of timetable of arrivals and departures of the attending members?

Am heavily considering attending, would just like to make it easier planning, flights, etc.

If 02 is in use, we will need to go to Changi Expo side. But looking at FR24 these days, it is Runway 20 that is in use.

 

Yes, morning spotting location is at Car Park 5 and afternoon location is Changi Beach. Make sure you have your sunblock!

Usually we arrive on Friday and depart on Sunday or Monday. Saturday will be a full day starting at first light!

No change to my plans despite the haze situation in SIN. Arriving 1710 on 28/6.

Folks, I'll arrive SIN on 28/6 ETA 1:00PM and depart on 01/7. May do some early spotting at T1 on arrival. Anybody need face mask, made in Vietnam, tell me :-)

Buses serving Changi Beach are:

9 - from Bedok Bus Interchange / Bedok MRT Station / Simei MRT Station
19 - from Tampines Bus Interchange / Tampines MRT Station
89 - from Pasir Ris MRT Station

If anyone is going from Changi Airport, please go to the basement and take bus 53. After going through terminals 3, then 1 and then 2, the bus will go up an overpass that takes you past the end of the runway (02L). After that, the bus goes up another overpass before going down and then making a right turn onto Loyang Avenue. Get down at this stop and change to bus 9 or 19. For morning spotting at runway 20R, get off at Changi Beach after car park no. 5 and for afternoon spotting at the same runway, get off at carpark no. 2 (the very first bus stop after a tiny round-about which is just past changi village).

There has been some shifting winds of late and at times, runway 02 is in use. Changi Business Park is located near Expo MRT Station. Exiting Expo MRT Station, look out for landing aircraft and follow the general direction (you should go through some landscaped parks with a lake and end up near a green field with the planes landing from your right to the left). There are police patrols from time to time but if you keep your cameras discreetly away, there should not be any problem. NOTE: Please do not bring or use your airband scanners.

Seems like the haze in Singapore has ease off. Average around 55psi and visibility more than 10km for the past 36 hours .

Bus stop about 200m further down from car 5 - aircraft that are landing will give you a good guide as to where we should be!

I just landed at SIN after enjoying a go around due to weather! Can manage to get some air to air shots :-)
