Just another PR event - loads may not have been exciting enough but promise is there, to justify having this relaunch.

MALAYSIA AIRLINES RELAUNCHES ITS DIRECT INTERNATIONAL ROUTES FROM KUCHING

 

Kuching, 18 July 2005: Malaysia Airlines, in its efforts to consolidate continued patronage of its loyal customers and enhance local public awareness of its existing direct international services from Kuching, organised a ceremony today to re-launch its network between

Kuching and the international destinations.

 

The re-launch ceremony was attended by about 120 invited guests comprising Malaysia Airlines Enrich Gold (Frequent Flyer Programme) members, local travel agents, members of the media and

Malaysia Airlines’ Sarawak heads of departments.

 

The re-launch of the national airline’s international destinations from

Kuching was jointly performed by Malaysia Airlines’ Board member

Datu Salleh bin Hj Sulaiman, Malaysia Airlines’

Area Manager Sarawak &

West Kalimantan, En. Shauqi Ahmad, Malaysia Airlines’

Sales Manager Sarawak, Mr. Victor Lim,

MATTA Chairman – Sarawak Chapter Mr. Matthew Chen, and

Chairman Ticketing and Outbound Agent, MATTA, Mr. Patrick Sim.

 

In conjunction with this re-launch, Malaysia Airlines is offering the

following attractive promotional return fares on its

direct international routes from Kuching.

 

Kuching/Pontianak - RM 295

Kuching/Perth - RM 895

Kuching/Hong Kong - RM 950

Kuching/Guangzhou - RM 950

Kuching/Frankfurt - RM 2425

 

The above fares for adult travel

(excluding taxes, insurance/fuel surcharges)

are valid for travel from 18 July 2005 until

30 September 2005. Child passengers enjoy further discounts.

 

Customers wishing to take advantage of these

special fares are invited to effect immediate bookings

with the nearest Malaysia Airlines offices,

appointed travel agents, or contact the airline’s toll free number

Can't be anywhere as bad as Adelaide's International Terminal. It is in every sense of the word like the size of a Cow Shed. Small. It takes you ages to claim your luggage, ages more to clear through quarantine not to mention ages to check in as well. And when you have more than one flight arriving at the same time, the situation will be worse.
