BC Tam 2 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 16 April 2012 Last updated at 13:15 GMT Virgin plane in emergency landing at Gatwick Airport Flights in and out of Gatwick Airport have been suspended after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing after smoke was reported in the cabin. Virgin flight VS027 had left the West Sussex airport at 10:48 BST and was bound for Orlando in the US when it had to return to make the landing. Passengers have been evacuated by emergency services, an airport spokeswoman said. There are expected to be "major delays" on incoming and outgoing flights. Normal take-offs and landings can only resume when the aircraft has been moved from the airport's only runway. Some incoming flights have been diverted, with some now landing at Stansted Airport in Essex instead. read the rest here: http://www.bbc.co.uk...sussex-17730154 So that makes it a hat trick of diversions then ?
