Not a special livery but 9M-AQM has "Thank you Louis Gallois" painted on the front port door in appreciation of the former Airbus CEO.

Anyone photographed AQM?

This may actually now be AirAsia's new standard livery.

AirAsia Thailand took delivery of their latest, HS-ABZ, and this also features the livery premiered on AirAsia Japan. Lets see what livery is used on the next delivery.

Wonderful catch, Fauzi. Thanks for sharing! :)

Spotted at SIN/WSSS on 1 Oct.

This one is heavily cropped and the angle was not good...

Geoff R, Flee

Both of them is rare to me. once a month KUL spotting and didn't know what's on.

thanks guys for info.

Hehehehe, I also don't know what's going on too. Just guessing, since the past few deliveries all featured this new livery.

I think this new livery is ugly - I prefer the old tail design.

The best cost effective paint shop for AirAsia X is Lufthansa Technick Philippines in MNL. For all white on A340-300 costs RM 180,000. SIAEC in Singapore first quoted RM 250,000 but upon negotiation they lowered it to RM 180,000. They send it to MNL anyway since the job quality is top notch. Stripping can be done in 1 day only. SAE EADS Sepang not so good. This is what my friend told me.

Someone once told me if your product bears a 1Malaysia logo you can ask for financial subsidy. Now that is 1 BIG 1Malaysia logo. Great shot from the hangar.
