Kelvin B 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Visited KLIA with Ignatius today..... was a nice trip learning how to use my digicam..... Lots of photos taken, will start sharing the photos with the many many baby boeings... . Will add the others later on. Have to apologise if the photos are not professional quality --> hence the Topic Description saying "Amatuer"... My pics are taken using a normal prosumer digicam. It was a nice hot day, and the flights were operating only on 14R when we were there. There were actually heaps more 737s, but am not gonna post them all... I am sure Ignatius' photos will follow when he gets back to Kuching.

Imran K. 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Kelvin, Ahh..the S2..it was on my list of "what camera should I buy for my birthday"...however..the prospect of sticking to electronic zoom is beyond me... Kelvin B 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Some shots are out-focus but nice Great spotting more than SGN Well, according to the camera manual, if i hear two beeps when i press the shutter button half way, its supposed to be in focus..... the out of focus shots are there for special effects... hahaha.... Seriously though, am still learning. I cannot seem to get photos that are anywhere as clear as the ones which the other pros are posting.... hope to improve.... but need some tips from u guys... cheers kelvin Kelvin, Ahh..the S2..it was on my list of "what camera should I buy for my birthday"...however..the prospect of sticking to electronic zoom is beyond me... Great shots btw..i like the first Sri Lankan shot...look at the reversers...JUST about to bloom! Hi Imran, I was doing a lot of reading, and liked the S2, was looking at the Sony, panasonic, cheaper DSLRs etc... i didnt actually decide to get it yet, but my sister gave me a big box before she left for Aussieland, and inside was the S2IS...!!! Urs has a manual zoom thingy right? cool...!! lets upgrade to a D-SLR, and say goodbye to a lot of cash... hahaha.... cheers kelvin Waaaa... Norman 1 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 cheers kelvin Hi Norman, Its got 12x optical zoom, wonder if it would help to get a 1.5x teleconverter lens??? Before you invest... try it out first... However for spotting around KLIA... I think 12x zoom is sufficient That's equivalent to about 430mm on 35mm format... More than that... heat wave blurs... Kelvin B 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 Hi Imran, Drove her to KLIA at 4am without any charges... . And some other gifts over the years lorr... U gonna ride to college 70km on a 14th hand BS bike?? in that nice sun? Azahan, Thanks. Pity i cannot zoom real close to the red petals......! Norman, Ya, maybe wait and see lah. I was wondring about the other close shots, example Azahan's shots of the nose. Can see pilot and all.... ITs because of settings and all? or coz of a very good zoom and camera? Hi Raj, Thanks. I love the pics of the A330 landing and taking off. Wings just look so very long .

It's with CAMERA AND THE LENSE You've to check it out... some digicam coupled with good lens can process images within shaded areas (in the cockpit for eg...) very well some may not but might give good details in highlghted areas -- so choose wisely when investing... no time limit ...
