Norman 1 Report post Posted February 15, 2011 This link should work. Sorry! http://goo.gl/maps/vcPE Thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind an will print some of my photos I have on Jetphotos / Airliners.net. I will arrive/depart on the 21st (just little less than a week from now). Ok... I know the place... you can't really see the runway since the palm trees there blocked your view You can get aircraft already airborne tho'... here's an example from my database... http://www.airliners.net/photo/Singapore-Airlines/Airbus-A380-841/1325012/L/ I'm not sure about now... but few months ago, police use this location for their resting place before next patrol... I'll try and see if I can and will be allowed to spot there. Otherwise the observation deck will be my second choice. I don't mind airbone shots. I'll be happy to catch anything that I don't see at Schiphol. Great shot by the way. The A380 isn't a regular visitor at KUL is it? What about traffic volume? At Schiphol I'm used to an aircraft departing/arriving every few minutes (during the day). Regards, Derice.
Cornelis Boersma 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2011 Derice, This is different @ KUL Morning gives you some traffic. After 11 AM it starts to slow down and then the end of afternoon its speeding up a little. But... they other side is. The Air Asia's go on and off all day, so to get as many special cls as possible try to stay the entire day In Observation deck you have airconditioned room, toilets and foodcourts close to you! From O.D. with 300mm lens and not to much haze you can get still a few descend shots of the 32R-14L runway. The spot on 32R-14L Norman mentioned.. if you walk from the main terminal you can get there in 5-10 minutes.

Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2011 Sri Ramani, hope u managed to catch MLJ and the new liveried JAL aircraft. I'm sorry flee but couldn't catch either one. I was catching departures the whole of today and JAL only comes in about an hour or so from now. So yes, another game... Which airline is this?? Looks new?????? Newcomer kah? No credits for those referring to A.net because there is one picture which looks 95% the same. (p/s: no more games after this, need some time to edit pics)

Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) Mugabe's holiday jet lah! That's right flee. Air Zimbabwe lost its old colours and now dons a pretty simplistic livery. I'd say a white one. Well the cheer for the day had to be these two for sure.. 9M-XAA, only my first time catching it. Dedicated to Yong who FFK me, and also to our two Russian spotters and also to our grand master Chaity. B-KPL Edited March 5, 2011 by Sri Ramani K.

Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2011 Just to share a few shots from yesterday. It was a great day for spotting with Chaity turning on the lights, Yong turning on the fan, and Hon Kit turning on the colours. 9N-ACB The blue on the fuselage really gels so nicely with the blue skies. VT-JBE One of the new leased 738, 9M-MLG. Looks like load seems to be good on board CX. B-HNE, B773. It is refreshing to see a young bird in KUL. A6-ECS, just above 1yrs ++ in service. Known for their notorious rotation as always! You can give them probably 500ms of runway length and they probably rotated just beyond the halfway mark! Seen here was N805FD. And whilst we are still in the season of the new livery, might as well post them first before they become a norm. 9M-MXC in great light! More to come later!
