Sandeep G 1 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 Definately applies to the public roads - but note that it is closed for a day for repairs. Airports like WSSS are prone to such cases as well - because of the amount of rain we get. At least they are fixing it.. was at WBSB a month back and well... that place was in a sorry state of disrepair.. and recently went back to see no changes - the same problems... plus it wasn't even NOTAMed. This is what I've found out... interesting D1000/11 NOTAMN Q) WBFC/QMRXX/IV/NBO/A/000/999/ A) WBGG B ) 1107311500 C) 1108011700 E) RWY SFC PEEL OFF.ALL ARR RWY 07. Dr Chuo Hock Tieng 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 pass by airport around 10 am and found runway25 is in use already
Ignatius 4 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 It was in use, threshold displaced to around Alpha 1 intersection, so about 400-500m of runway gone i think.. some night arrivals are 07 as they can't visually see the displaced area clearly at night. Pothole/roadwork still being done today with equipments on the runway itself. Localizer on runway 25 are for guidance only, before landing visually. Runway 07 papi are reportedly unserviceable as some pilots reported all four white.. As per notam, papi on 25 were taken down for maintenance too.. whatever is going on with soo many things happening just on the runway itself. <_>

Benjamin Lau 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2011 If i'm not mistaken, they're using A310 for the SIN-KCH route; i'm not sure what's the reason of the cancellation of the route. SQ's scheduled aircraft is the A310-300. Started on March 1991 and ended December 2001. During peak season (school holidays), it would be upgraded to A340-300E or B777-200. Main reason for the cancellation is because SQ was not permitted to fly daily from the 2wice weekly service.
