flee 5 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 Remember we dismissed the news from Bernama - that Sarawak govt. is prepared to give AirAsia a piece of land to build an LCCT in KCH? Perhaps this is true afterall!
Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 Don't have to politicize this issue guys. Rest assured the hangar is being built for restoration of the wounded bird. And no, it is not going to be the next LCC Terminal in KCH.

flee 5 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Bernama) -- The government proposes to set a time frame for airline companies to remove their aircraft that have been involved in any accident or mishap at the airports. Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri said should the airline company face difficulty in moving the aircraft within the stipulated time, the airport would move it away and impose charges on the company. "Moving an aircraft must be done carefully as the front part of the plane is very sensitive. "Such an operation is highly supervised to reduce damage to the plane, especially its avionics system which consists of the plane's electronic and communications system," he said in reply to a question from Hee Loy Sian (PKR-Petaling Jaya Selatan) in the Dewan Rakyat Tuesday. Hee had asked about the AirAsia aircraft (flight AK5218) which skidded at the Kuching International Airport (LTAK) due to rain on Jan 10, causing the airport to be closed for 23 hours. Abdul Rahim said according to Clause 125(3) of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1996, the airline was responsible for removing the aircraft following an accident or emergency situation. "Following that, an analysis was carried out on the incident because currently no action has been taken by the government on AirAsia for refusing to use the services of Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) or other airlines to move its plane," he added. Geoff R. 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 Still a deafening silence on the findings of the accident investigation. Are the DCA still investigating? Investigation complete and findings now secret? Geoff

From Doc Naim's reply on another thread RT: @tonyfernandes: Good progress on moving plane. Plane should be cleared in 90 mins. We are trying to ensure everyone who wants to go to kuching will go. Good cooperation from MAB and MAS. Thank you So, who is being economical with the truth ? Edited April 6, 2011 by BC Tam
