Why ?

Because it's already peeling off MXA ? (it was, the last time we saw a pic of it here)

If really need be, better print a new one lah, less cheap-skate looking :p

Apparently China Airlines to take over the Mandarin flights at some point in time too :)

Well I guess the new livery A330 still a head turner here in BKI. In fact when I show my photos to some of my friends here they'd ask me what airline is that.

Nice to note that such beautiful photography is possible at BKI.

I will be arriving in BKI on the morning of 20 August with a friend on the Firefly flight from Johor Bahru. This would only be a same-day return trip as I depart for Johor Bahru later in the day. We both merely wanted to experience Firefly's jet service, having previously done the same with a Firefly flight from Johor Bahru to Subang and back (before they operated to Singapore).

Could anyone guide us to the beautiful spotting location for action shots along the runway? We will have to depend either on public transport or out dependable legs to get to this spot, so any information - on where to head to, landmarks along the way and at the spotting location, any stairs needed etc would be most helpful and indeed most appreciated.

Hi KC,

No worries, we can help with that. Just let us know your ETA and ETD, maybe your food preference as well. The locations are not easily accessible via public transport.

Apparently there was an MU flight from PVG into BKI yesterday evening circa 9pm

More than likely everything shrouded by darkness of the night though :)

Anyone care to explain why the 319 doesn't sport the "Malaysia" title? Cheers!

you mean the "Malaysia" title under the National Flag, Jalur Gemilang?

No, the large Malaysia title as on the BBJ and the Fokker which is somehow absent on the 319.

Rob, the A319 is not part of the RMAF fleet.

That's interesting, so I'm guessing it belongs to the Malaysian government? Or someone else?

Belongs to PMB (Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad) now, a vehicle set up by the Malaysian govt under the finance ministry to facilitate financial rescue of MAS like a decade or so ago. Was originally with the RMAF though :)

Quoting the then PM Abdullah Badawi: "It does not belong to the govt."
