Lhasa Airport LXA at 3600m is pretty extreme.

In the thin air, my Air China A332 (above) seemed to take forever to take off on the flight to Chengdu. :D

Lukla is in! :)

9. LPMA - Madeira, Portugal - Location on island, wind conditions, runway built out into ocean on stilts.

OT. There are rumours that PEN expansion would include runway extension into the sea (rwy04)... and the existing road will be tunneled beneath the runway :unknw:

Surprised not to see INN (Innsbruck/Austria) there; IMHO it's more exceptional than Tegucigalpa...

Soon no more I believe. The road's going to be only for emergency vehicles, the rest would be routed through a tunnel underneath a new terminal they're constructing.

Hehehe, yeah, nice one, Denny. I also found a take-off video, with the left bend in the 'runway'. :)

In above vid you can also see ppl blocking traffic at the far end.

I believe there are only a few places in the world where you can park the plane in your house garage. I thought only John Travolta have such luxury.

Thanks a lot Doc for the take-off video too !!! :good:

That underpowered LET barely makes it over those trees; probably, those AN-2's were less lucky and remained there forever...
