Maybe. But my recent visit to KUL there was a long line at EK check in counter with pax wearing jubah, kopiah and other outfit usually related to umrah pilgrimage. Maybe i was wrong. 😊

Thats just the minority. Not the bulk of them.

Wings Air adds Medan Melaka service from late-April 2018

 

Indonesia carrier Wings Air later this week is adding new service to Malaysia, which sees the airline offering Medan Kuala Namu Melaka route.

Service will commence on 20APR18, on board ATR72 aircraft, operating on daily basis.

Etihad W18 Kuala Lumpur aircraft changes

 

Etihad Airways in the 4th quarter of 2018 plans operational aircraft changes for Abu Dhabi – Kuala Lumpur service, as the airline schedules 2-class 777-300ER operation from 19NOV18 to 19DEC18 (AUH departure). The 777 will temporary replace A330-200 scheduled in winter 2018/19 season.

KLM in recent weeks filed further adjustment to its Northern winter 2018/19 long-haul operation, effective from 28OCT18. As of 09MAY18, planned changes include the following

 

Amsterdam – KualaLumpur eff 28OCT18 777-200ER service increases from 2 to 4 weekly, -300ER reduces from 5 to 3 weekly

Lucky Air from mid-May 2018 plans operational aircraft changes on Kunming – KualaLumpur route. Existing 4 weekly service is now scheduled to be operated by Airbus A320 instead of Boeing 737, effective 18MAY18.

BANDA ACEH, NNC - Citilink Indonesia Airlines will soon fly the Banda Aceh-Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) return flight route three times a week.

"The direct flight of international route from Aceh, we start on June 24, 2018," said District Sales Manager of Citilink Banda Aceh, Teuku Muntashir, in Banda Aceh, Thursday (5/24/2018).He said the airline operator flies the sky at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, using a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

 

This Citilink aircraft will land in KLIA 1, and it can be the main choice for people in Aceh to continue the journey, such as those with the destination of Jeddah or Medina in Saudi Arabia, and others, as passengers do not have to move to KLIA 2.

However, the tickets are not sold through Citilink network site, but through a travel agency in Banda Aceh, plus luggage facility of 15 kilograms per person and snacks."The new route was chartered by Ubudiyah Indonesia Aviation," said Munthasir.

Commissioner of PT Ubudiyah Indonesia Aviation, Dedi Zefrizal, admitted his side is eager to promote tourism in Aceh, especially Sabang, the famous gateway of world marine tourism destination.

 

Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said that the number of foreign tourists on holiday to Aceh as of the first quarter of 2018 increased by about 14.65 percent with a total of 9,808 people.The country of origin of foreign tourists, namely Malaysia still dominates the level of visits in that period as many as 7,668 people, then the United States 307 people, China 246 people, Britain 227 people, Australia 199 people, and other countries."Our main reason is to increase the number of tourist arrivals from Malaysia to Aceh," said Dedi, as quoted from Antara.

BIMAN Bangladesh schedules Boeing 787 debut in Sep 2018

BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines on Thursday (28JUN18) opened reservation for its planned Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, set to enter service in September 2018. Planned 787-8 operation as follows.

 

Dhaka Kuala Lumpur 01SEP18 15OCT18 1 daily

Dhaka Singapore 01SEP18 15OCT18 1 daily (Inaugural flight on 01SEP18)

 

According to report from Dhaka Tribune, the configuration of the 787-8 is C24Y247

Emirates outlines 2Q19 service reductions for Dubai Airport runway upgrade project

Emirates recently filed changes in its inventory, which sees the closure of various flights due to planned runway upgrades at Dubai International Airport in the second quarter of 2019.From 16APR19 to 30MAY19 (based on Dubai departure, selected service to Australia until 29MAY19), following service sees the closure of reservation. Additional changes remain highly possible.

Air China in winter 2018/19 season plans to adjust service to Malaysia, reflected in recent schedule update. From 28OCT18, existing 4 weekly service will increase to daily, however operational aircraft will be downgauged from A330-300 to A321.

It would seem that Xiamen Air has dropped the PEK-BKI route and now re-routing traffic via a Fuzhou (FOC) stopover instead ?

Yes I think so. Previously was handled by 2 aircrafts, but now 1 aircraft flies the triangular route.

LTU was the first from Europe in the 90s... once weekly Dusseldorf- Langkawi. Then Finnair came after, which were charter flights..

Previously planned 7 weekly Airbus A321 service from 28OCT18, is now postponed to 01JAN19. From 28OCT18 to 31DEC18, the Star Alliance member will continue to operate this route 4 times a week, with A330-300.

Following schedule effective 28OCT18 – 31DEC18.

LGK is on the site, but I can't book it.

 

Interesting that we're finally getting an LGW-LGK flight.
