Happy New Year to all Mwingers! May 2016 grace us will more opportunity to fly!

Just a quick question, I have been interested to fly to Japanese airlines...but why can't I book KUL-TOKYO-ICN on both Japan Airlines and ANA???

It is possible with CX and VN but somehow not on Japanese carriers.

Any particular reason why?

Any suggestions on other sites?

Thank you.

Could it be because NRT-ICN flights are almost non-existent for Japanese carriers? JL only has one flight a day, which doesn't connect well with their KUL flight.

NH doesn't even fly NRT-ICN anymore, only HND-GMP. And that isn't practical for you because they don't fly KUL-HND, unless you're willing to go out of the way to fly with them.

That's amazing! JL is still the only airline that offers a flat bed between JP and MY. Glad to see that they are doing well in premium cabin since the 789 is a very premium-heavy aircraft and it will almost double the J capacity from 24 to 44. Also, this marks the introduction of PEY (35 seats) between JP and MY.

Wishful routing: HND-KUL on JL (they might be able to make it work). NRT-KUL will be re-timed for US connections (similar to NH's service) .

KLM increases AMS-KUL-AMs to 10x weekly from 23JUN16 till 29OCT16

Following the departure of MH from the KUL-AMS route and following the departure of MH and AF from the CDG-KULroute, KLM has now released a new S16 schedule which indicates that the AF/KL carrier will increase AMS-KUL to 10x/week from 23 June to 29 October 2016.

The airline plans to operate a dedicated AMS-KUL-AMS B772 3x week, in addition to the daily AMS-KUL-CGK-KUL-AMS B77W flight.

- AMS dep. 13:00 - arr. KUL 07.10 KL811 B772 Thu, Fri, Sun - NEW
- AMS dep. 20:45 - arr. KUL 14.45 KL809 B77W daily this flight continues to CGK

- dep. KUL 08:45 - arr. AMS 15:30 KL812 B772 Mon, Fri, Sat - NEW
- dep. KUL 23:20 - arr. AMS 06:00 KL810 B77W daily this flight originates in CGK

Apparently there are still some opportunities for Euro carriers against the EK/MH cooperation on the Europe-KULroutes.

Bravo to KLM. We houden van jou! Lets pray for 2 daily soon.

Can remember, around 2000, KL operated a similar schedule with 744 aircraft: one terminating flight at KUL and the other one continuing to JKT. They even pulled out the same flightnumber again :)

I was told Vietnam has emerged as the fastest growing and highest GDP growth country in ASEAN for year 2015. They are very hungry for business and growing rapidly. Even NZ is flying to Vietnam now.

Agree - a lot of companies are leaving Malaysia and setting up in Vietnam. They have an economic advantage over Malaysia - we are falling behind more and more ASEAN countries, we are already behind Thailand. The next ones to overtake us will probably be Vietnam and Myanmar.
