It seems that the option for "flight only" (without the Hotel package) on SZB-RDN vv is back on Berjaya Air's website with several new routes such as SZB-LGK and SZB-TGG are also available though prices are not cheap. Take note that the 1-way flight option is not available.

Good luck getting passengers with those prices and without OW tickets. Good for them if they can fill it up with their air+hotel package.

Well, that´s obviously the main goal to get their own hotel/resort customers in and out. Selling leftover seats is just an afterthought.

... and if those hotel/resort passengers already make sufficient revenue there´s no huge incentive to sell seats cheap.

After all it is a premium product they offer and cost per seat mile is way higher compared to e.g. Firefly which has a much higher seat density.

Datuk Captain Chester Voo Moved To Non-Executive Director At Berjaya Air

Berjaya Land Berhad has announced the redesignation of Datuk Captain Chester Voo, former Chief Executive Officer of Group Aviation at BLand, to the role of Independent Non-Executive Director at Berjaya Air Sdn Bhd and AsiaJet Sdn Bhd, effective December 1, 2023.

The group said the strategic transition underscores the company’s commitment to optimising his extensive experience and expertise in his new capacity. Datuk Voo, a seasoned aviation professional with 29 years of experience, served as the CEO of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (“CAAM”) from June 2020 to December 2022. During his tenure, he successfully led the aviation safety regulator through the challenges of the Covid-19 crisis and helped CAAM regain its Category 1 rating from the US Federal Aviation Administration. This accomplishment enabled Malaysian carriers to expand their services to the United States.

Captain Chester recently rejoined AirAsia.
