Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Since yesterday, 14L was being used for arrivals. Since today was an off day and having nothing much to do, decided to "waste" the whole day at 14L catching the arrivals. Light was ok in the morning and turned very sunny towards the afternoon and started to die down around 4pm. Sharing some shots first as I edit the rest. First to greet me was 9V-SRF from SIN. A9C-LI. I believe come OCT we would rarely be seeing this A340 as posted by Raj, a change of equipment. Took me by surprise, 3B-NBM. More to come when I have enough time to edit the rest. Cheers! Chaity 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Ramani, nice shots for the morning session. It seems mostly sunny through out the morning. Grrrr..... I can only spot from my computer. Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 (edited) Nice!! Seems like Cathay send 77w every wednesday. Yakah? I dunno la, my scheduling sucks big time.. Ramani, nice shots for the morning session. It seems mostly sunny through out the morning. Grrrr..... I can only spot from my computer. Your amateur spotter friend's T-shirt is so striking. Luckily he didn't stay long to attract bulis. It was even more sunnier in the afternoon Chaity! Thanks for borrowing me a lot of light and sky, although it lasted until about 4pm only. Actually, when I was spotting in the morning just by the side of the lake, there were many passerby who stopped and even came out in big convoys to see an aeroplane on approach. Many times I saw the MAB trucks and the PDRM cars passing by, but I guess today's the first day of fasting, they probably didn't want to be mean to anyone Anyways continuing some shots in the afternoon, it's going to take a while to load all the pics though VN sent A350 today VN-A350 First EK was a 77W EY also sent in 77W! Eva's A330, B-16306 CI Cargo, B18717 Now it shows the Valuair wording very clearly. 9V-JSD Unfortunately, the 2nd EK wasn't a 77W, only a -200ER Blue plane with blue background! PH-BQL It has been some time since we've seen this fella over here in KUL, HS-ABC. Wished I had some ABC under that scorching heat! A7-ACM. Continuing a few more... 9M-MKG Dedicated to all the KUL spotters, N783SA in new colours! AirBagan. XY-AGC. I left shortly after 3 AK birds landed then. One decided to do a go around and joined back for approach 20 minutes later. Overall it has been a great day of spotting. Just want to keep all the KUL spotting threads alive, so I'll keep sharing whatever I can. Edited August 11, 2010 by Sri Ramani K.

Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 (edited) Great shots, Ramani Is that a bit of smoke coming out from Air Bagan's right engine or is it just a stain ? Great collection of shots once again Ramani. Keep em comming Thank you very much MIR & Raj MIR, upon close inspection of the closeup, I don't think that it's smoke coming from the engine. Some stain on the airframe itself I guess Edited August 11, 2010 by Sri Ramani K.

Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2010 Saw two die hard spotters in the blistering sun on my way to work earlier . What looked like Yong , and someone who drives a green Kancil ? Ooops! You caught us off hand Gavin! Well today was definitely an occasion to celebrate, I'll tell you why later. Weather in the morning was CRAP, but it quickly changed within an hour and we had nice blue sky and good light! To add icing on top of the cake, 14L was used for arrivals, so what else? Go spotting loh.. N783SA Funky VN-A359 with white nose TF-AMS 4R-ADB and the main reason why everyone was down in KUL was for this... PH-BVD!!! early by 40 mins! I left at 4pm due to work later, but to my surprise, they switched runway back to 32R for takeoffs. So high chances are the rest managed to catch BVD's departure too! Looking forward to pics from the rest. Cheers!

Chaity 1 Report post Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) I was on leave and at KUL yesterday morning (30 Aug) since 31 Aug is a holiday. While our PM is busy doing the ground breaking for KLIA 2, I was busy shooting some Iran birds. My first catch for India Alpha Charlie. Mahan Air A310 is next. At first I thought is their newly acquired A300 but not. Still my first catch for this rego. This is what you can expect for early morning catch Edited August 31, 2010 by Chaity
