Just wondering.....how is it that Malindo Air's ATR72s show up on FR24 when Firefly's don't? Do some ATR72s have ADS-B, and others don't?

(As always, many thanks in advance.)

P/S:- Anyone notice FR24 picks up heli's too these days? ^_^

Yes.. only ATR 72-600 and ATR 42-600 has ADS-B.. older version like ATR 72-500 and 42-500 doesn't have so they are not picked up by FR24 :D

Saw on FR24 that MH 716 (9M-MSB) turned back to CGK midway through and was squawking 0000. Any idea what happened?

Just googled transponder code 0000 and it is for unreliable SSR data. Does that warrant for an air turn back?

Note: It's on its way back to KUL now after a 3 hour delay.

Good to see such good coverage for SEA now.

and let's hope there's more feeders coming on line ( not part timers ) in the near future.

I'm now using FR24 to check the runway in use at destinations such as SIN so that i can prepare early.

Thankless job providing feed -- pay for gear, use own server (pc), pay for electricity, pay for internet ... that's why there are part timers.

Indeed, it is really thanks to all feeders, especially to those who provides feed 24/7.

Noise levels of A320s are pretty low. Most of the time, you don't even notice them except during take offs.

ATR72 take offs in SZB are unnoticeable. Only those noisy B732s and 722s take off with a big roar...

Above plane was at 1800ft during the test. Is your house below the flight path this morning or somewhere near SZB?
