Time to pay a visit to Uncle KC Sim and geng after he had visited us on 4th MWings anniversary.

As today, appox 144 days towards this event, the airfare as shown below:

SQ0119(25/06,1025) -> SQ0118(27/06,1845) -> MYR588.

MI0331(26/06,0840) -> MI0338(27/06,1630) -> MYR488.

MH0601(26/06,0850) -> MH0610(27/06,2115) -> MYR414.

TR2453(26/06,0740) -> TR2462(27/06,2140) -> MYR283.

3K0684(26/07,0840) -> 3K0698(27/06,1650) -> MYR284.

AK0719(26/07,0635) -> AK0716(27/06,2120) -> MYR199.

I believe cheapest itinerary is 3K0684 and AK0716 somewhere around MYR175.

All price above include tax and surcharge. For LCC airline, include luggage but not others add-on items.

Also, any recommendation on place for overnight?

26th June (on local time), there will be 2 games on Group H match FIFA World Cup. (Chile vs Spain and Switzerland vs Honduras). :lol:

Waiting for partner but still early to book, for me at least.

For BKI - SIN it's RM283 for AK. 3K does not have daily flights. :(

Hi all,

it would be an honour for Singapore to be the venue for Mwing's 5th Anniversary. By then, runway 20 should be in use and spotting will mainly be from Changi Beach. Bring all your lenses from wide angle to tele ... there is lots of room for you to move to suit your lenses and creativity.

How would you guys like to stay at the YMCA Orchard (nicely position close to both Orchard Road and Raffles City area) and very close to food centre that is opened 24 hours? If we know the number of rooms needed, we could try to secure better rates and confirmed bookings. The rate should be close to S$100 per nite for two persons in a room (and if need be, you could even secure a bed for a third person for a small surcharge). Their rooms are recently renovated and very nice.

Maybe carpark aunty Kwek might have lobang for a night or two at the Changi Airport Crowne Plaza - but due to group size, I am concerned that when photographing from the area outside the rooms, it might get crowded and attract too much attention. Appreciate any thoughts from Kwek or others about this.

What else can we plan for you? Visit the Air Force Museum at Paya Lebar Airport, Aviation Display at Terminal 2 . . . sorry here in SIN, it is impossible to arrange visit to Changi Airport control tower. Can only ogle at it from outside and below.

Kwek : Shall we discuss what we could do? Any other Singapore-based spotters want to come together to brain-storm ideas to help make the visit by our MalaysianWings friends more interesting?

KC Sim

KC, thanks so much for offering your experience and knowledge on this. For a start I think we should put up a register of attendees so that we can see what kind of crowd will make it to SIN. That way, we have a better idea of what resources will be needed.

Probably, if you book a Suite... :pardon:

Last time I stayed there in February, I booked a single room, but effectively had a Kingsize bed...
