Sandeep G 1 Report post Posted August 13, 2010 Very nice pictures! Really miss the blue skies/clear air of Perth and these pictures just reinforce that sense of longing... cilaka Airbus fleet... On another note, good to see the second daily Xanadu flights have commenced, although I have one query - Anyone complained yet that TIGER and AIRASIA X are using the exact same flight number at around approximately the same time??? i.e. D72716 (KUL-PER) & TR2716 (SIN-PER) and then again on the return D72717 (PER-KUL) & TR2717 (PER-SIN)????? With all the permutations that could have been chosen....... amazing!

Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 Sandeep, D7 have just cancelled their extra flights from the end of this month, due to -XXG's late delivery. They only ever started two extra flights (Tue/Thu) and they're 5hrs ahead of TR's arrival/departure. Extra early morning CX flights 3x weekly from mid November and 3x MH 73H direct from BKI starting mid January

MIR 2 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 Did I miss something ? Are they not affiliated to Strategic France, which went broke/down the drain ? Surprised to see them still operating in Aussieland... If i'm not mistaken, Strategic is contracted by the Australian Defence Force to provide airlift support to the middle east. They also operate schedule flights between Perth and Denpasar. Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 MIR et al, in less than 2 weeks the defence contract will end as the tender was won by Adagold who will use a Hi-Fly A340. Strategic have 1 A320 based here in Perth to operate 4x weekly to Derby-Curtin and 2x a week to Bali.

BC Tam 2 Report post Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) My 1st thought was: is this a 1971 shot of Tan Son Nhat...? Pieter, Perhaps need to crop that pic slightly That A320 (or its ilk) in the background gets in the way of that scenario But then I've been to neither Perth nor Tan Son Nhat, so what do I know ?!
