JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2011 (edited) It doesnt quite work that way. You dont just give up because you think your competitior is better. No free lunch in the bussiness world. If you offer improved products over your competitor,be rest assured that people will travel with you. So no excuse for not having a better C product. I agree with you Jadivindra. However, MH over the years has been hangat-hangat tahi ayam. Kalau suka buat, buat saja. Tak suka, biarkan~~ (Half baked mentality) Always half way there. If MH really do put in loads of effort, think they will put in J, Y+ and Y already since they dun earn much from F class. And J class that boomz! None of the current SEA carrier put in Y+ seats except for TG's A346 which in on the way out in next few years. If MH really do want a good bottomline and see AK/D7 as a BIG threat then they shud have Y+ class to earn some extra income. It works well in USA, but yet to be tested comprehensively in SEA. Josh T 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2011 I wonder what kind of feedback MH is getting for their new business class. I am really disappointed because there was potential for so much more! MH could have set the standard for regional business class but, as has always been the case, they're trend followers rather than trend setters. Those square shelled seats already look dated. At least the current curved shell seats look more elegant. I also think there was an opportunity to put in a small Y+ section but I suppose it's not a big deal. Lock SH 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2011 .............. Those Boxy C class is so yesterday by today's standard... So 'yesterday' is understatement ........ it should be 'LIGHT YEARS' behind other legacy carriers in this region ......
Josh T 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2011 By the way, what's the delivery schedule for the 33E for this year?
BC Tam 2 Report post Posted April 10, 2011 So 'yesterday' is understatement ........ it should be 'LIGHT YEARS' behind other legacy carriers in this region ...... Perhaps a gentle reminder ? 'yesterday' is a measure of time 'light years' is a measure of physical distance Back to the new 33E, I thought I saw some sort of a pouch hanging from lower part of the J seats - what are those for ? To hold one's bottled water/drinks ?

Kris Kim 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 MH has revealed they are planning to add the A330's on a 2nd Australian route, let the speculation begin! But I think it's fair to say that ADL or PER may get it, before MEL, SYD
Johan Z 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 I'll go for PER, since this route still gets the old A330s.
Josh T 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 I'll go for PER, since this route still gets the old A330s. It will definitely be Perth! MEL, ADL and SYD are served by the B772, whereas BNE and PER were getting the old A333.

At the very least you can look out for some more pics of the interior by Thursday evening. Any MW members joining the joyride?
Mohd Suhaimi Fariz 2 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 Any MW members joining the joyride? You have to win a contest on MH's FB to get a chance. The flight's on Wednesday the 14th!
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 14 April is Thursday. I reckon a few of us here have becoming very close to @tengkuazmil in Twitter. Based on my investigation, @memeranglaut and @muhammadOthman could be on the flight. Both of them are MW members. The CEO gave 10 free seats to those who follow his Tweets. @jfkjohan is also getting a free seat although the 10 quotas have been met, so there is also a possibility of others with close relationship with the CEO to be invited as well without having to answer any questions or make a slogan in Facebook. One A.Net friend of mine is invited as well.
