Just to grab some highlight from LIMA 09 website for the event program --> LIMA 09 1 Dec 09 0930 - 1015 LIMA ’09 Soft Launch and Opening Aerial Display at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) Aircraft taking part in the flypass in conjunction of soft launch includes Su-30 MKM, MiG-29N, F-111, F-16, AH-64 and B-52 For 2 Dec to 5 Dec 1000 – 1130 & 1445 - 1600 Aerial Display at MIEC 1000 – 1240 & 1500 – 1730 Waterborne Capability Demonstrations at Awana Porto Malai I was told the B-52 will appear only on 1 Dec. Nice elevated position, did you take them from the Helang Hotel? Nice to see the Singapore Apache .... should be two if we believe what the LIMA website says. Although if displaying would expect a spare airframe to be there. Any of you guys staying on the island after Sat, maybe to catch the departures? flee 5 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 I was told the B-52 will appear only on 1 Dec. Hope the info I heard was wrong. Wah, coverage already before the even has started! Where did you shoot from? I believe the B-52 will fly in from Diego Garcia and do the flypast before moving on to somewhere else or return to base. No ground display nor multiple flying displays. Yes, the above 2 shots were taken from Hotel Helang. This spot is good for afternoon shots. Kudos to the friend hotel staff. They won't chase people away from the corridor's window and even help clean the window pane. Highest floor is 5th but with dirty dust marks on the outside of thw window. 4th floor's window is cleaner but approaching aircraft will be partially blocked by the exibition hall's roof. I heard some of the aircraft will depart on Sun. Not sure if any will hang on til Mon. I am making a day trip on Sat and won't be able to join you guys. Do have fun there !
