Izanee 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2015 Thanks Azizul …according to flight radar, Yemenia still flies to KUL. There was a brief suspension during the war in Yemen a few months ago. Egyptair is A330-300 but three or 4 times weekly.
jani 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2015 Surely Emirates will add a few more tag-ons after the MAS tie-up? *hint*

acappilla 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Just tried KL809/KL810 last week. Nice plane + nice food (cgk-kul). Only problem is KLM cabin crew quiet rude + too old ( my kid called them nenek(grandma))

I had the opposite experience when I flew them in August
Waiping 12 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Perhaps coming from different culture some simple behaviour may be considered as rude. Did KL809/810 before and thought the crew were efficient. Pass me my meal tray and cut the crap.
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted January 1, 2016 Another airline bites the dust in KUL - Kuwait Airways. http://www.aviator.aero/press_releases/26797 Catch it while it lasts. You have until 28 March 2016 to do so.

S V Choong 4 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 Probably not much of 5th freedom choice as of now. Gone were the heydays....
Waiping 12 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 Not really 5th freedom, but I will consider the SQ A350 as "something worth trying".
jahur 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) U may try Uzbekistan Airways B767 or as other members mentioned Oman air A330. Edited March 8, 2016 by jahur

Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 While at it, here is the list for KUL as at 4 March 2018: 1. Batik Air | KUL-MAA-KUL 2. Ethiopian Airlines | KUL-SIN-KUL 3. Indonesia AirAsia X | KUL-BOM-KUL (ending on 29 April 2018) 4. KLM | KUL-CGK-KUL | Daily 5. Royal Jordanian | KUL-BKK-KUL 6. The Uzbekistan flight on the other hand could not be booked online so I am not sure if the service is still available or otherwise.

I´m pretty sure HY does not have (full) traffic rights for KUL-SIN vv. So, you can´t book that route Only Passengers with Tickets TAS-KUL/SIN can use these flights. They might even be allowed to make a stopover in KUL and use the HY flight KUL-SIN a week later. But no tickets can be sold on HY for KUL-SIN only. Hon Kit 3 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 I did KUL - SIN - KUL last year on HY. Only bookable through agent site. Not cheap
flee 5 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 Not really 5th freedom, but I will consider the SQ A350 as "something worth trying". And soon, it will switch to B787-10 - but there is a further premium on fares!
Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 And soon, it will switch to B787-10 - but there is a further premium on fares! I never see SQ putting a premium on fares for the KUL runs just because a new aircraft is used. The fare remains consistent whether it is a 333 or 359 or 78J operating it. Maybe it is now closer to April and fares have equalised.

Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 The SQ118-119 flights are always priced higher than the other two SQ flights, and the morning one tends to be the cheapest.
Tafe 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2018 Great news! Now we can fly to SIN with Air Mauritius. The price is somewhere between MH and SQ. Yippie
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted December 13, 2018 Year end 2018 list for KUL: 1. Air Mauritius | KUL-SIN-KUL 2. Batik Air | KUL-MAA-KUL 3. Ethiopian Airlines | KUL-SIN-KUL 4. KLM | KUL-CGK-KUL 5. PIA | KUL-BKK-KUL 6. Royal Jordanian | KUL-BKK-KUL 7. Uzbekistan Airways | KUL-SIN-KUL The same list sorted by destination: Singapore 1. Air Mauritius 2. Ethiopian 3. Uzbekistan Bangkok 1. Pakistan 2. Royal Jordanian Jakarta 1. KLM Chennai 1. Batik PIA is new in the list. As usual, the service at the beginning may not be getting the 5th freedom right just yet but this will be coming eventually. I am glad that KUL still manage to maintain a sizeable list of this unique rarity of 5th freedom flights. The same list for LHR London Heathrow, just for fun: 1. Air New Zealand | LHR-LAX-LHR 2. EVA Air | LHR-BKK-LHR 3. Qantas | LHR-SIN-LHR And that's it. Only 3.
Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted December 14, 2018 So LHR loses BIMAN to some intermediate destination? And no more LHR to NYC by KU and AI?
Waiping 12 Report post Posted December 15, 2018 Seems like Batik Air has stopped their CGK - BKI flight since 28 Nov. From FR24 last active flight was 25 Nov, and no flight since then.
