Guide on Regional Flights by Non Regional Airlines

Recommended Posts

Do they have traffic rights? Anything just to break up the monotony of the "SSDD" MH/SQ/MI gang....

I saw this flight on skyscanner actually, code sharing with MH. However I'm unable to book it via any third party site.

Tried booking KUL-SIN sector on Uzbekistan Airways but failed miserably. Their booking engine is worse than SQ's and MH's...... :(

That's likely because they haven't filed a fare. (yet)

No availability in GDS either.

The fare itself is indeed RM9 but LH's YQ is ridiculous. All in price is about RM460.

If *A benefits don't matter, KLM is still the way to go at ~RM330 with similar timings.

QR's KUL-Phuket last flight will be on 25 October 2014. Catch it while it lasts. http://airlineroute.net/2014/09/02/qr-hkt-w14/

This is in response to the introduction of a new Doha - Phuket non stop service.

lucky me..im booked on the 15th this month...sad that wont be able to fly QR to Phuket anymore as they offer the best service and price for this route.

Can we request 1 farewell trippie please.

Given over half of pax from doh continued to phuket, it is not unexpected. Wondering kul alone could justify multiple daily to doh.

KUL-DOH maintains as 3 daily after the Phuket split, which is still pretty awesome for KUL.

QR to end SIN-DPS on 20 July 2014. Better catch it while it lasts. http://airlineroute.net/2014/04/14/qr-dps-jul14/

Just an update. The termination of SIN-DPS will be replaced by a non stop Doha-Denpasar with Qatar 787 Dreamliner. http://airlineroute.net/2014/09/08/qr-dps-nov14/

Fellow KCH Mwinger Wilber and I did SIN-CGK...of all time...smack in the middle of AF pilots strike...our SIN-CGK was a casualty of the strike and we're put on SQ...which wasn't too bad...just as we thought our 5th Freedom of Right flight was a failure...we were informed that AF would operate as normal tonight and we were able to enjoy AF...their crew were truly amazing...a casual but personal service unseen in asian carriers...very friendly! J'adore Air France...by the way...their 10 abreast Y weren't as bad as KLM's...

Most Malaysian find mh crews friendly because of culture barrier. Once culture barrier is crossed, other airlines crew could be more friendlier than mh.

agree...most MH crews nowadays are just not interested to be there while other airlines you can see that they are happy to serve you....and this was even before MH 370/17

Thank you for the list.

A couple of minor corrections:

- Egyptair flies 3 times a week to BKK (Tu, We, Sa)

- Royal Jordanian flies 3 times a week to BKK (Mo, We, Fr)

- Lufthansa flies 5 times a week to CGK (daily except We, Th), daily A343 in S15 schedule back to 5 weekly B744 W15/16 schedule.

I believe TK doesn't have 5th freedom rights between SIN and CGK, unless something has changed. It's also ending some time in 2015 as CGK will be a non-stop destination.
