Middle Eastern Airlines into KUL

Recommended Posts

For mid-Sept trip:

RM 603 for RJ for a 'long' (Fri night/Mon afternoon) weekend in BKK on B788s

RM 650 for ET for a Fri night/Sun afternoon rotation on B763s

I'm sure MS is around the same price too, with either B77W/A332

Adoi, so many options to choose from :D

I'm spoiled by SOME of Pak Rusdi Kirana's 739's - the Thai Lion one is sempit lah :( very uncomfortable, unlike Batik and Malindo :)

Thai Lion's config is identical to JT indo fleet. And that's like 215 seats at 28 inch pitch or something. (feels like it)

Malindo's / Batik's one is closer to 170 something - with 32 inch pitch. Big difference oo...

Now we are seeing second wave of airlines picking up pre-owned A330. Emirates, Gulf Air and TAM had offloaded some A330, these might come in handy for flyNAS.

Didnt know that Flynas CEO is Malaysian. Hopefully he will be as good as Tim Clark.

He's more than just any "Malaysian"..he was AK's ex CFO and part of the original snr mngt team.

Not related to Malaysia in particular but this is shocking (for me at least). SQ to cancel and Riyadh and Cairo. Jeddah is to be tagged to Dubai.

http://airlineroute.net/2014/05/20/sq-mena-oct14/

SQ used to have an extensive network in the Middle East just a few years ago. Apart from the 2 mentioned above, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait are the other stations which has been closed.

Maybe this is due to the massive expansion of Middle East carriers in South East Asia. Plus connectivity to destination beyond the cancelled destination.
