Naim 6 Report post Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Is it easy to get fuel in the middle of nowhere? Or does this plane use normal car petrol? The plane landed at Hawaii Beach - see wikimapia: http://wikimapia.org/#lat=4.2827342&lon=113.9447021&z=14&l=0&m=s&v=9 === July 24, 2009 17:51 PM Low Fuel Forces Aircraft To Land On Beach MIRI, July 24 (Bernama) -- Low fuel forced a light aircraft to make an emergency landing on a beach in Kampung Raan, Bakam, 22km from here Friday. The pilot, Stanley Ting brought the plane to a safe landing at 12.10pm, much to the delight of villagers, said Malaysia Airports Bhd Miri fire and rescue unit head Unggau Sini here. He said Ting took off again at 1.30pm after he managed to refuel his aircraft. Ting started his journey in Kuching and made a stopover in Sibu before he was forced to land on the beach known as the Hawaii Beach among locals, said Unggau. He said Ting declined to say where he was going. -- BERNAMA http://bernama.com/bernama/v5/news_lite.php?id=427779 Edited July 24, 2009 by Naim
