Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted April 3, 2013 Maybe the campaign is for the folks at Singapore, Kalimantan and Southern Thai, whom are not entitled for postal voting? But I think as usual, it is just a marketing ploy and AK has proven over and over and over again that it can milk any current events in the country in a speed of a flash as a marketing tool for its own benefits. Kudos.

Kudos. Apparently not only AK, but OD also doing the same stunt. Maybe they wanted a change more than MH.
Sing Yew 1 Report post Posted April 4, 2013 But that is just for D7 though not AK. Malaysians that are based at destinations that D7 flies to would probably all qualify for postal voting.
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Confirmation that D7 will NOT operate the A380. Azran Osman-Rani Visited the A380 Final Assembly Plant. Huge plane! And if you're wondering, N-O. We are not even considering ordering this aircraft. Too big to be sufficiently versatile to deploy on all routes, which is key to making Long-haul LCC work. KK Lee 5 Report post Posted August 13, 2013 See bigger picture, not 'sexy' AirAsia skirts, politicians told AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes has urged politicians to start looking at the bigger picture when it comes to the female cabin crew uniform.“If you really want us to go global, and every politician says so, then support us and look beyond our shores and our cultural sensitivities,” he said, responding to the issue for the first time today. He said the uniform - a red suit with a short skirt - was actually designed by the crew themselves and was chosen as it had “universal” characteristics.“Being a big brand attracts detractors, not everyone will love us,” he said today during the Global Malaysia Series organised by the Performance and Management Delivery Unit (Pemandu). Criticism of the outfit had been raised several times in Parliament by politicians on both sides of the divide, who feel that the skirt is “too short” and the uniform is too “sexy”.Acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein had, in a written parliamentary reply, said that airlines can choose their own designs, but that the government would ask AirAsia to reassess its uniform. 'Let my son fly for you'Mostly candid during the forum, Fernandes was put in an awkward position when a member of the audience asked that Fernandes allows his son, who has failed to get a job as a pilot, to fly for AirAsia for six months. “I will pay his salary for six months if he can fly for you,” said the father, who claimed to have flown from Kuching on the red-eye to be at the event in Kuala Lumpur today so he could make the appeal. He said his son, who trained in Kuching and is now a part-time bartender, did not pass the test for AirAsia or Malaysia Airlines but truly wants to fly a wide-body plane. To this, Fernandes said that “there are no shortcuts” in life and that at some point, people should stop relying on “the government or father or mother” for help. “Pilots also have lives in their hands,” he said, stressing why tests are required. Graciously, however, he asked the man to email him so he could give the son another shot at the test. http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/238187

Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted August 13, 2013 But the politicians want the AK crew to adon baju kurung, baju kebaya, baju kedah, jubah abaya, telekung etc as uniform. On a serious note, such sad state for us Malaysians nowadays when our appointed MPs are discussing about AK uniform at the Parliament (for god sake!) when thay are much much more serious issues at hand. If AK uniform is deemed as 'too short and too sexy' then I guess Malaysians have turned into Saudis.
Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2013 Currently, in the UK , MPs are encouraged to debate on Mr. Cameron's plan for increasing funding for safer cycling environment at British cities. Meanwhile in Malaysia... p.s.: I am all for modest dress code etc., etc., but it all boils down to personal conscience no matter how other people advice you on such matter.
