Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 14, 2005 TK, Is she flying 747's ? How long would be her stop-over in AMS ? If scheduled for AMS, please let me know and give your camera along: I know some other excellent spots at SPL for good pictures, besides the viewing terrace... Yep, from my window: 1st B-pier, 2nd runway 06-24, 3rd SAS Radisson hotel, 4th Luchtvaart Hobby Shop, 5th church steeple of Aalsmeer (village where I was born), 6th nice big lake (Westeinderplassen)... Agree, they serve excellent food in there (but rather expensive); Norwegian salmon is the best (I think) ; how about "old amsterdam" cheese ???

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 14, 2005 Sing Yew, Indeed, for a good look go to Google-maps, select Amsterdam, zoom into airport and go south-west from there: you'll see what I mean/see from my window (including that lake)
