xtemujin 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 Thanks for the heads up, missed the news report that you've put up. Hahaha.... Jon was too slow in capturing me 'flying'... Gears extended already for landing, unlike you that managed to catch the missus at fully 'retracted gear'... hehehe We went in very early... being 'kiasu' ourselves... hmmm... could it be due to this? (The Star Online) BTW... pictures to follow later...
Vivek 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 Hi Guys, It was nice to meet the MWingers at the Singapore Airshow Here is a pic from the show, accepted on Airliners.net. Air Baltic Q400 Next Gen C-FZGL - Vivek
Waiping 12 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 Raj, You didn't miss much <_ . imo the last show was much better.> Agree. Was bored just after the A-10 demo. Don't understand why RSAF send just 1 jet for flying display instead of a whole squadron like last time. Also SIA not lending any support this time. No booth at all. Instead we got Halo, Wolverine, even Starscream! Last show was definitely better. Now to hit the models stores tomorrow.
Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 back with an extra tan (already not fair)! only thing to shout about was probably the statics. quite disappointed with the performance though the RSAF team did make some people go oohh and ahhh.
kianhong 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 More random photos to share from last trade day of SA2010. Enjoy! Combine aerial display from RSAF F-16 & AH-64D Apache Longbow. USAF A-10 Thunderbolt RSAF AH-64D Apache Longbow Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Pilatus PC-21. Same model used by RSAF for basic training at Pearce Air Base, Western Australia. No stolen engine here. You know you are not flying a proper airline when u have to do ur 'business' here. Learjet 60XR cockpit. Very similar layout in terms of switches and major system compared LR45. Of course with more advanced avionics. Cabin of Global Express XRS. I still like my G550 anytime! Even Garuda equipped their aircraft with AVOD IFE on every seat. MH better wake up! And it's touch screen! As the last trade day draw to an end, dark cloud moved in and framed the Dassault Falcon 7X nicely. Thanks for viewing. Cheers. xtemujin 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2010 NAHA, Japan, Feb. 6 (AP) - (Kyodo)—A B-52 bomber made an unscheduled landing Saturday at the U.S. Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Prefecture because of fuel shortage, base officials said. The bomber had left Guam and was heading to Singapore to perform at an air show, but it decided to land at the base in the evening because it was unable to receive fuel through aerial refueling as scheduled, the officials said. They said the bomber will head to Singapore as soon as possible after refueling. There are no explosives loaded on the bomber, they said. A KC-135 air tanker from Kadena base was supposed to refuel the bomber in the air, but the tanker could not be used because of maintenance problems, according to the officials. Norman 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2010 You guys were lucky to be allowed on board the new B738... We were not allowed to go on board during the trade day in Wednesday, only by invitation... Oh well... you win some, you loose a lot... Anyway... a little bit more of the air display... T50... the one who crosses the line on Thursday and was not allowed to continue.. Aermacchi M-346... another contender in the running to supply advance jet trainer to RSAF... and of course, the dump and burn from the famous Pig... High Speed, and low speed, However, the air displays were higher and further away from the crowd as compared to LIMA... those shots using max 200mm with 1.4x TC and cropped kaw..kaw... Mohd Faridz Mohd Yunus 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2010 Excellent shot of the T-50 Norman!! ...love the dump and burn from the 'Whispering Death'as well!!
Norman 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2010 Excellent shot of the T-50 Norman!! ...love the dump and burn from the 'Whispering Death'as well!! Thanks Faridz... the only usable shot of T50... heheh, others either blurry or belly shots, since the restriction of aircraft can't cross the crowd line, you'll get belly when the aircraft closest to you as it turn away... Anyway, somebody asked about the C17 that came whether its the same that came to SZB with Thunderbird Well it's the similar aircraft in SIN but not the one that performed the high speed low fly past during the practice day of the Thunderbird.
