KUL 32R in 2009

Recommended Posts

Norman, Raj...

Could the 744 have been N465BB ex: 9V-SME (SIA) c/n 24065 which ferried 23/03 VCV-HNL-KUL

for Lion Air ??? the aircraft was reported to have having a refit out there, perhaps it departed to CGK.

Cheers Greg

Thanks for the leads, Raj C.Foo... ;)

Greg... that was what I initially thought...

I'm not sure if they already stripped the colors, but

still in Oasis color as observed by Liew on April 16th Here

Norman, the first 744F could be Cargolux LX-PCV in grey color.

Used to see this bird on Sunday morning in KUL. :pardon:

Norman, et al...I think Chaity is on the money here. The first bird is a 747-400F and looks like its got 4 "tubes" under the wings (ie RR RB211's) which fits the LX-PCV profile

It hasn't got the SUD (stretched upper deck) either so it's a B744F.

25th April '09 was a Saturday. My family day and usually wouldn't go spotting in KUL but I decided differently. <_>

Since Bulis blocked all our morning 32 spots, I timed my visit to Oscar Hotel just for Gulf Air 777ER departure.

I know my visit to the hotel will be short, risks still have to be taken. :aggressive:

Timing was right but have to sacrifice missing Thai long pencil in the background :pardon:

How much gold paint needed for this head ? :p

VTJEHf1w.jpg

Sun was good and there's a little title in front of the fuselage "Operated by Jet Airways for Gulf Air" ;)

Thundering down the runway back to her destination. :air_kiss:

As expected, Bulis came 3 minutes later. :finger: :finger: :spiteful:

Off I went with the subject I wanted. 8)

Excellent shots of the Indian bird in Middle Eastern colours, Chaity.

I admire you guys who spot in KLIA cos it is so much hassle and you may end up with nothing. The BULIS need to justify their wages, so they hassle innocent people pursuing their hobby. They should spend more time hassling the Mat Rempits lah!
