Nabiel Haniff 1 Report post Posted January 20, 2009 Hey guys! For KUL-LBU flight,I got a chance to enter the cockpit. At the same time,I asked the F/O about AirAsia Cadet Intake. That F/O said, " If you are interested in cadet, please buy newspaper especially The Star after SPM result announce, but now,AirAsia not support 100% fees. You need to add your money a bit" "If you have any cable here, lagi bagus! " hehe.. Any comments?
Walter Sim 1 Report post Posted January 20, 2009 IMO from what i heard, AK's cadetship, they only apply the loan for you. After you graduate, you will have to repay the loan.

So MH also did the same way right? I thought, for the loan, they just support us half of it. lets say,RM200k,so they just pay for the loan at RM100k only, then another RM100k we need to pay by ourself. Am I right?

Am I right? Both Cadet sponsorship is just like loan for MH and AK We neede to be bonded with the airline for certailn of year , and they will deduct our salary . For AK, we will need to pay RM35k upon entering the flying school, and if not mistaken, we are taking the loan from bank, not ak. AK just arrange the loan from bank for us. Correct me if i am wrong. Andy Law 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2009 There are slight difference between MAS and AK. AK's don't really sponsor their cadet, instead they help us to find bank loan only. After that, we pay entirely to the bank, not AK. While for MAS's cadets, I think it's 100% sponsored by MAS, bond for 15 years and only start paying back to the company by monthly deduction from their salary when start working. Gavin Andrew David 6 Report post Posted January 21, 2009 Even as of now, I believe there is quite a backlog of cadets , awaiting training . If they were to take more . Its going to prove to be a challenge
