T.Y. Bob LEE 2 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Thanks Liam and KC... I'm out of PEN currently and am unable to photograph VQQ. Anyway weather in PEN has been horrible of late (and caused quite a few diversions due to the unserviceable ILS). Better luck next week!
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 No word on when she will be swapped, so you have a probably a week minimum. I'll try my best to keep everyone in the loop in regards to which aussie bird you'll see, as she graces me with her presence (hahaha) everynight when she's on JQ duty
Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 I was affected that day. my flight to BKI was delayed for 2.5 hours. AK6001 landed at around noon and soon followed by SQ192. I was already high in Balik Kampung Raya mood when this delay happened.
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 operational reasons means -VQQ will be swapped in Perth tomorrow night with -VQN. So better get your snaps today, although she'll be back soon enough if you miss her, she's regularly based in Perth. Of course, this is subject to change
T.Y. Bob LEE 2 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 Effective 01Dec09, all SQ flights to/from PEN will be replaced by MI. The last SQ flight operating from PEN shall hence be SQ191/30Nov09. For those yet to photograph SQ B777s in PEN, make use of the remaining two months!

For those yet to photograph SQ B777s in PEN, make use of the remaining two months! Pity the SQ777 will gone soon (hope it will be temporary only)...as far as I know PEN is the few secondary cities served by SQ B777 in South East Asia. Others would be DPS and SGN right? Loh Wilson 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2009 must buy a new ladder... how much is that one?? That ladder does not belong to me, I borrowed from my sister and have no problem squeeze that ladder into my Kancil all the way up from KL. The ladder is very handy but slightly heavier than the usual ones As for the price, I have no idea at all but I do believe it is surely 3 digit. nice shot of the Eva Air Cargo, Wilson! Thanks The weather wasn't great and my spotting session was shorten to 8am-9.30am becoz of the rain.
T.Y. Bob LEE 2 Report post Posted October 10, 2009 Nice shots Wilson! Back in PEN? Yes weather has been horrible recently. I have been trying so hard to photograph the VH-registered Jetstars and the newly delivered Tigers (9V-TAK, 9V-TAL) but just wasn't successful! Luckily it's only been VH-VQN these few days. Hope the weather will turn better when the specials come in. Photograph the 9V-SRx aircraft while you can... it will be 9V-SVx effective NW09 and then no more from 01Dec09! T.Y. Bob LEE 2 Report post Posted October 12, 2009 Perdana One due to arrive around 0800-0845 today. Thanks MIR... 9M-NAA and VH-VQH (Go Roos) came this morning in heavy rain unfortunately. And in case anyone was at PEN and witnessed FX5293 making a spectacular low-level go-around, it was due to windshear warning.

Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 Nice catch of the Kangaroos jet! Tonight she swaps with JQ's newest A320 VH-VGZ, so first visit of A320 with billboard titles tomorrow
Daniel 1 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 Nice capture of the "Go Roos" rotation Bob. I was onboard that flight (ahem... blessing in disguise...) The tower somehow give clearance for "Go Roos" to take off first, knowing she can "go" and take off in time for 9V-SRO to land... Here are some of the photos of "Go Roos" and a view of 9V-SRO landing from air: Jetstar A320 "VH-VQH" Singapore Airlines "9V-SRO" landing...(another view)
