SUBANG, 5 Dis. - Pesawat Fixed-wing Amphibious pertama APMM dari jenis Bombardier CL 415 selamat tiba di Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Subang.

 

Penerbangan penghantaran pesawat pertama tersebut diterbangkan oleh dua juruterbang APMM di bantu juruterbang dari Syarikat Bombardier serta krew dari anggota APMM. Pesawat tersebut berlepas dari Montreal, Canada pada 21 Nov 08.

 

Pesawat pelbagai guna tersebut adalah yang pertama digunakan oleh Malaysia terutamanya APMM untuk menjalankan tugas Penguatkuasaan Undang-undang Maritim Malaysia, serta dapat memantapkan lagi aset yang sedia ada dalam menjalankan tugas pencegahan serta penyeludupan dan menyelamat di laut.

 

Ketibaan pesawat tersebut di sambut Pemangku Ketua Pengarah, Laksamana Muda Maritim Dato’ Noor Aziz Yunan serta pegawai dan anggota-anggota APMM di Hangar D’Nest

Pardon me, I really have to sound rude. :spiteful:

That aircraft looks as if it is made of carboard boxes glued together, and the red "lips" makes it looks like a monster.... :rofl: :rofl:

After looking at all those flushed aerodynamically eye pleasing aircrafts, this is one grotesque looking aircraft.....

 

Now I wonder why they call it fixed wing "amphibian" aircraft!!!

Errr..... why the Canadian rego if MEA already bought it?...

I think the aircraft type is still not certified by the Malaysian DCA. The pilots bringing it home probably have Canadian license ant type-rating, hence the Canadian registration. I'm sure someday the aircraft will receive 9M registration as well as a new livery.

 

Now, does it maintains the water bombing capability?

wah, two week flight from Canada to Malaysia :D

 

Probably sightseeing in between (relatives in MAN ?) :p

I am still very much intrigued with A and B birds....... they are the real graceful swans of the skies......

for this one, don't have the looks - but have the works..... heheehhe!!

But... 'someday' it might not get 9M.... could be M- like MI-17... :pardon:

It will be under M- registration just like the MMEA daulphins.
