Guest Captain_Lum Report post Posted October 12, 2008 Im a newbie here,so Im terribly sorry if I posted this at the wrong section but I hope you seniors can help me.Well,as I mentioned on my description,what is the minimum qualification to become a student or a pilot in Malaysia? I will be sitting for SPM this November and Im desperate on knowing the answer for my question.I hope you guys can give me the best answer without dissapointing me.Thanks! Wilber Tan 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2008 well..if u wanna join cadet, MAS n AirAsia either Passed SPM (or its equivalent that is recognized by the Malaysian Government) with at least A2 in English and Mathematics and B3 in Physics taken at one sitting. (Those from the Arts stream should have at least an A2 in General Science); or Possess a Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Science-related disciplines with CGPA 3.0 and above and at SPM level scored at least a B4 in the subjects mentioned above taken in one sitting. if you are interested in flying school, 5 credits including a science subject in SPM will do.. correct me if iam wrong Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You are right. I'm a self sponsored student. Upon joining MAS, they still want to see my SPM result despite the ATPL and the result should be like the cadet entry requirement.
