LGK can be very interesting even during non-LIMA times. Even during my short visits there I've got a lot of interesting traffic.

Its always fun not knowing what to expect each day. LGK is now known for its strange visitors. We had the Antonov here about 10 days ago, an ATR 42 a few days back, 3 Piper Warriors from Singapore Youth Flying Club last week, not to mention the low overshoots and circuits by F111 two days back . Brennan has more, and i'm sure they're on the way..

LGK is an island airport, and right from the time you step out of the aircraft, you get that free, easy going island atmosphere. Hence not having the aerobridge actually contributes to it. Its a very common sight to see the pax (especially foreigners) posing with the aircraft for a piece of memory. It gets better when MH sends in the once weekly A330. You can hear the camera's clicking away...

Lucky for the spotters and the passengers going there...Last time I boarded a widebody aircraft using stairs was when I took the DC 10 from KUL to BKI at Subang airport about 15-17 years ago...Cant remember the exact year...

Brennan, MKW taken on 4th of October? That was me on the right hand seat :D

Capt and I both waved at your lens as we passed by, and you had to close the canopy of one of the training aircraft since both pilots were already strapped in and halfway taxing.

Nice pictures btw :good:

Last time MAS did LHR-LGK-KUL and Thai AirAsia did BKK-LGK-BKK, but after awhile. all gone...

Just leave SilkAir doing SIN-LGK-SIN
