  5. Sorry put my real name under the message like in this one, however, my real name is Koos. I do agree with your statement but believe that applies to every country, be discrete! Well I can tell you that I had great fun in Chennai the next day. After some searching with a very friendly taxidriver, found a small street close to the approach and was able to make some nice pictures. A very friendly Indian invited me on the roof of his house which was superb. Not to much traffic but who cares everything is new for me. Only the weather could have been a bite better. 6. Hello Forum Friends, Welcome in 2007, hope it will be a good photographing year for us all, with much sun. Well the first good news I believe this year from Amsterdam is a almost new airworthy L1011-500 !! Yes you read it good a flyable example again. To be precise the CS-TMR hopes to fly to Lisbon within two weeks from today. I visited the aircraft today at Amsterdam and found BWIA technicans working on the aircraft, all three engines have been changes and new tyres fitted. I was told that after a two week period in Lisbon, the aircraft will go to California for a C-check of two months an will then enter active operations again with Luzair, the operator of this bird. Well lets hope it will all come throu!!!. Attached some pictures I made in and around this old bird. Look at all the sparepart around the open engine What a beautiful spacious cockpit in (inside) this L1011 has, don't you agree? But also outside the cockpit is a beauty. Business class is still in the aircraft but very dirty after two years storage All economy class seats had moist, the due to the storage. Work is progressing on the tail engine. All the best and let me know what think of this, till next upload Koos // A340 For all photos of this serie (to be uploaded soon), please visit my website at: www.airlinephots2001.net
  7. Hello Guys, Would like to share with you my experience in making pictures in India during a short visit last week. I was able to take some pictures going on a domestic flight with Jet Airways an B737-800 VT-JGA from Delhi to Chennai. Photo's were taken from a passenger bus during a hazy day and waiting on the ramp before climbing the stair on the aircraft. I experienced no problems but was carefull, since taking pictures is only recently allowed in this country at airports, but not everybody knows this I am told, so always be careful! Delhi is very bussy on the domestic side and will only get more bussy with the many aircraft on order in this country. I read in a newspaper that day of the delivery of a new B737-800 for India Express and the article said it was the first aircraft of 68 more to come to give you an impression. I have seen driving to the domestic airport that there are spots to be found for taking approach photo's but now ramp pictures since the airport is, like Chennai, surrounded by a high concrete wall and I do not advise to use a ladder, only if you certainly want problems. Oke I will now add some pictures taken on December 6th, 2007, sorry the quality is not always super but that has to do with the weather and I only had one possibilty, please let me know what you think and I will add more??? Brgds Koos VT-EHF B737-200 Alliance Air in the new colours (taken with 370mm) VT-IOA CRJ200 Indus Air parked in a nice line up (sorry for the clutter) VT-KFN A321-200 KingFisher between flights awaiting luggage and passengers VT-ADL ATR42 Air Deccan taxing by at the right moment for my camera, great! VT-BDH B737-200F of Blue Dart getting some open air maintenance VT-KFP A321-200 Kingfisher at the holding position before entering the runway, like me in the Jet Airways. Sorry for the hazy light, best I could do. please see my website at: www.airlinephotos2001.net

Wbrgds Koos (also of the nameless forum entry at the obs hill the message with the A340 in the rain picture, sorry) CS-TMR L1011-500 of Luzair hopefully receiving maintenance after more than two years of storage. CS-TMR L1011-500 of Luzair, this time a close up, the missing engine was parked close by, not sure if that was a new replcement engine or the old one, no action on the aircraft that day. OO-TNB B737-300F T.N.T Airways after short maintenance check with KLM. JY-AUB B747-230B Universal Air in open storage for months now this time without tail symbol, probebly waiting for the start of the hadj season, when it is very bussy. please also visit my website at: www.airlinephotos2001.net
  9. Hi Guys, I am new on the forum. Am a photographer from Amsterdam who has just had the great experience of spending on day at your airport!! I was able to do this with the help of this forum and my new friend CHAITY, who took me to all the superb spot along the runway even through rainfloded roads. Keep up this great forum which I hope will be an example for the rest of us in the world so we can all help our friends trying to get around at a new airport unaware of the possible problems or possibilties. I had a great day even though we were confronted by a thunderstorm as you can see from the attached landing Air Lanka picture (4R-ADC), but overal it was a great!! To see result of my day at KUL please check my website the coming months as I will upload a special KUL page at: www.airlinephotos2001.net Again a special thanks to Chaity for all his help over the months to make this day to a succes. I hope to be adding more pictures in the Amsterdam section of this forum in the future. Going home I went through Singapore so maybe some of these shot also interest you, taken from the terminal.
