  1. OMG... i can't believe this really happening to Malaysia.. which mean we are silently being attack!
  2. Hmm.. interesting deliveries start from 2016, kind of coincidence with Amedeo first delivery of A380.
  3. wondering how on earth will they be profitable by year end as per their business plan
  4. MH need to introduce Premium economy for them to increase their ever declining yield. Then refurbish their business class seats to be on par with the likes of CX/SQ, only then they can charge premium for their J class seat. Just look at CX/SQ peoples still buying their J class even though their prices quite high since their hard product a top notch. And yes, i think MH need to find a foreign partner, my pick will be IAG. Offer them like 40% shares and use KUL as their hub and help to give feed for MH Australia/regional network. Then maybe BA can start MAN/EDI/GLA/LGW - KUL using their 787.
  5. Saudi Budget Carrier Launches Europe, Africa, Asia Long-Haul In April, Flynas will begin rolling out routes from Jeddah to London Gatwick and Manchester in the U.K., Paris in France, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Jakarta in Indonesia and Casablanca in Morocco. It will fly Airbus A330 aircrafts and include a 12-seat business class cabin. http://stream.wsj.com/story/latest-headlines/SS-2-63399/SS-2-445252/
  6. If its 2017, i think MH will probably consider B787-9 or A359. Btw, no news on the earlier rumours of additional A380?
  7. I think MH having a shortage of A333s. This can be seen when their plan to upgrade the MEL & SYD to 3x daily using the A333. Some of the destination going back to 772. IMO, HKG shld be serve by A333 instead of A380, while the 738 is not everyone cups of tea. But with MH you never know...
  8. LH recently ordered up to 55 A350 with first delivery schedule on 2016. So, if MH taking a big order for A350 i think they can nego to get earlier delivery slots. A350-9 can be use both for their regional and long haul fleet, with that MH can easily order up to 40 A350-9 taking consideration of a network growth( if they have a future plan)
  9. had the opportunity to talk with the french during my last visit there... their perception towards the tourist definitely has changed. They have to esp when Paris keep on being voted as the most visited city in the world. I did noticed it as well they are indeed more polite and open to English speaking tourist these days as compared to 3 years back.
  10. Would love to see MH place an order for B777-8!! It will be great for them to start direct flight to LAX/JFK/EWR or even to GIG/GRU/EZE and connect with LATAM for the whole Latin America. Wishful thinking tho'
  11. But QR only have daily flight to MEL and Perth currently... Think BA will stick with the current arrangement with CX for a while..
  12. and not to forget its like you being transported from Paris to Kowloon at the Lafayette VAT redemption counter
  13. Maybe closer relationship between MH and QR... and no more with EY?

  15. by buying MAS they will also will reap the benefit of quite liberal agreement that malaysia have with ASEAN/India/China/Korea and even Australia which some of the middle eastern carriers have limitation with.
  16. IMO, MH should at least fly double daily or more to city like Surabaya/Bandung/Manado/yogyakarta and daily to place like Lombok/pekanbaru/padang... Indonesia is growing at the moment. it is a loss for MH if they choose not to increase their presence in Indonesia. Also, MH will have the edge against SQ since some of the route serve by MI.
  17. Its that new increment allocation for malaysian based carriers only or for both sides?
  18. I think KUL more likely to see BA than QF for the next 1-2 yrs.
  19. 20. IMO indeed, you can never go wrong with food and pharmaceutical industry
  21. its good to hear that MH start to growth their network again...
  22. i dont think that MH will quick in introduce new route to the US cities any time soon since they already have extensive colab with AA via LHR/CDG/FRA. Besides, they dont have the right aircraft yet.. maybe after receiving the B787/A350(if only they ordered it in the first place) in 2018 and beyond only we can hope for it. Unless we dont mind flying the old B777. However i would love to see MH introduce KUL-LHR - YVR/YYC. IMO, maybe we can see BA coming into KUL soon enough since this arrangement will benefit them the most if they interested doing a tag on KUL- ASEAN or KUL- Australia. With more B787 coming soon the possibility is there!
