  1. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2016-02-15/malaysia-air-is-on-track-with-restructuring-ceo The full interview with Mr Mueller
  2. With 15 aircrafts i'm wondering whether they are in excess or shortage of A333..
  3. I'm wondering if MH proceed with their plan to centralize their ops at MTB is there any space left for OD? Or will OD occupy Sats building?
  4. read it somewhere that they're planning to be full service carrier instead of hybrid airline as their business model.. With this latest news and if it materialize looks like OD will benefit the most with the shrinking of MH and not AK/D7 as predicted earlier... Now, go get youself some 787 please OD..
  5. "Malaysia Airlines will be suspending its Kuala Lumpur-Dubai route by 15 February and will re-accomodate passengers on its codeshare flights with Emirates," Mueller said. http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/malaysia-airlines-emirates-announce-codeshare
  6. We'll probably see both AF and LH return when the oil prices start to increase again... current oil prices gave lots of impact to O&G company to scale back their operation.. if i'm not mistaken company from French & Germany have a major present in the O&G local scenes.. with the oil prices tanking to all time low there's not much business left..
  7. I read it somewhere that MAHB will do this first before they start to build the new sats terminal.
  8. Wow.., didn't know that PIA have a direct flight from Peshawar to KUL..
  9. Malaysian Air Chief Putting Last Touches to Southeast Asia Hub Malaysia Airlines said a network restructuring aimed at establishing its base in Kuala Lumpur as a hub for travel to fast-growing regional economies including China and Vietnam is 90 percent complete. “We’re fine-tuning with regard to the frequency pattern, but the capacity-per-destination is fixed,” Chief Executive Officer Christoph Mueller said Wednesday in an interview in London. “The network design was 15 years old and largely driven by traffic from Europe to Australasia.” http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-11-04/malaysian-air-chief-putting-last-touches-to-southeast-asia-hub
  10. In MH case i was hoping that they will not reduce their J seats significantly if they maintain with 2-2-2 conf but with all direct aisle access.. Now with only 27 seats probability of my success rate for MHUpgrade getting smaller
  11. Was hoping that they pick up something like JAL skysuite 2-2-2 with direct aisle access for all seats... Maybe this new seats availability is there and they can install it soonest unlike the more popular ones, CX/AA J cabin styles.
  12. It looks like that OD benefits more from MH route cutting/capacity reduction and not AK/D7 as earlier speculate... too bad the Lion group cancel the 788, if not they will have the right a/c to start SYD and MEL..
  13. Not an easy task to rename Malaysia Airlines... Read some suggestions on a.net ... and i was like seriously people??.. Hahaaa
  14. My guess will be Royal Malaysian Airlines (RM) ... With the new name and new code wonder how about their membership in oneworld?
  15. That statement seems contradict to me... A premium airline and MH 😬
  16. Not only the load, heard the cargo is doing great as well. Thnks to their vast network to north and south america..
  17. If not mistaken they did chartered with MH previously but using the B747 and A330.... I guess A380 just fit the bill . If MH can find a niche market for A380 for charter services and profitable in doing it, they will think twice in selling those 2 A380. With Indonesia just around the corner they can grab the market for Haj/Umrah since they have the right a/c
  18. Seriously, i dont think that he will accept the job at MAS if his hands tied up and the gov still have a say in what ever decision being made. I mean, why he would risk his reputation.. unless he got personal interest in MAS which i doubt it. I'm interested to know what makes him accepted the job at MAS.. too bad i didn't see it being ask in any of his interview.
  19. To be fair it was Khazanah idea for MH to be a regional focus carrier.... i guess CM still trying to figure out whats best for MH especially when no takers for their A380
  20. With AB codesharing they will get better feeds from both ends i would assume... and it would be nice if they return with a newish a/c
  21. How ironic, the day MAS ended FRA service is when a German becoming its CEO.. Hope they will come back again to serve Germany, maybe serve BER instead of FRA and later codeshare with AB.
