  1. So thats mean they will not do double daily to SYD with A380? If so, its a good move i think.., not sure how they can fill it up if they do 2x daily with A380.
  2. correct me if im wrong... but i think it is a doable to combine KUL-AMS with KUL-MEL(another potential route) on alternate basis... and maybe thy can slot in Hong Kong or Shanghai/Beijing in between to optimize the A380 usage. Not sure about KUL-LAX... tho im also hoping they fly the superjumbo to that route.
  3. Of course not it will be stupid for them if they did He's a politician.., of course he will listen. Btw, thats is why khazanah need to sell more GLC under their wings. Its not healhty at all for a company to see this kind of thing. If anything against your side.. go directly see the PM. its not fair to rule out him just because he's ex-AK. I dont think he stupid enough to give a free maintenance to AK or things like that (If that what ur meant). And of course there will be a sacrificial lamb for the cost cutting measures, they can still outsouce the training... not simply denied the staff training oppourtunity. You cannot expect everythings will be the same. they will be ppls affected by the decisions but if that what it takes how can u say no to it?? In the end you need to save the company as a whole and not to run it as a half-dead ones. Still.., im just an outsider who know nothing much about it Will be interesting to see what is coming for mas. IMO, how can u see progress when everyting u plan being opposed in the first place?
  4. Being an outsider my feeling is that those saying NO to this share swap is just because they hate TF.. nothing more than that. I mean, how can u go to bed with the one you hate the most?? Dont get me wrong, the Unions are sometimes can lead to the downfall of certain company or country( just see some europe county these days).. It puzzled me to hear that MAS actually have 8 unions when in fact PETRONAS have non for their executive level. If MAS really beyond repair after the split i guess the union will loss the most (do they?)... and yes the critics can say they have undergone many turnaraound and what is the different for tis time around? MAS still have a dear heart in many malaysian and to see it how it perform today definately a sad thing. \ heard rumours saying that khazanah will let go mas.. but are they willing to sell mas to foreign company?. If they brave enough i do hope that both IAG and Qantas will buy the share and trully turn MAS to be a force to be reckon with. If that happen not only MAS, MAHB and malaysian will see the benefit. it just that the so called pride of having malaysian owned company will be gone (but hey.. we still have AA aren`t we )
  5. Will Qatar Airways fly their 787 to KUL anytime soon?? Any thought on this
  6. Wonder whether they will introduce KUL-SIN next..
  7. Heard a lot of possible destination for TG A380... seems they still cant make up their mind. At least MAS is firm with LHR & SYD.. kinda of good thing
  8. wow BKK-SIN.. do they really have a good load/demand on that routes?? Kinda of waste i think..
  9. What type of airplane that can pass under the skybridge..?? Can A330 or maybe even A380 pass under that bridge?? or is it just A320/B737..
  10. Im not saying a particular person.. but i made that statement based from the my perception from the post i read here and the other thread in this forum. On the second one, u can refer the other thread MH create no child zone...
  11. i dont think that MH ever declare that the whole their upper deck for a380 as a child free zone.., they just say no child below 12 will be on Y upper deck... and apart from the first class MH never said that they will ban child in their business class. So there are tons of version for this story which lead to many peeps outhere saying there are loopholes and etc. Its us in the first place making lots of speculation and such
  12. So far MAS have confirmed 2 for LHR and 2 for SYD for their A380 destination. Any thought on the remaining 2 A380? My wild guess will be KUL-NRT-LAX
  13. yeah.. this is absolutely great idea from MAS. To those who oppose for it, you still have another 300++ seats on the lower deck. Hear this good move from mas definately a rare ones. Hope to hear more good news from them
  14. To be honest... i dont think a flip flop decision is bad... at least they acknowledge it in advance and if they continue they might get more troublesome. In this case, it was still a plan and not yet implement. Besides, it give us more substance to discuss and speculate.. Btw, I kinda of like the idea of separating the short haul and long haul. With short haul they can start with new plane and have a fresh balancesheet. Besides, it will be good to see two different livery for MAS. I thought the short haul will have the swooshes livery while the long haul as what A380 will have. Well.., its all gone now.
  15. Or is it because lack of funds in MH.. unlike SQ/EK which seem have deeper pocket to spend for their F and J.
  16. one question... If their J configuration as 1-2-1 wouldn't it kill the F class? From the looks can we say their J more likes premium Y while F is the J class seat?? I guess this is the price for mas delaying the a380 delivery.... everything become old already.
