Maybe , United Airlines Flight 585 and US Air Flight 427 crashed because there is a small mechanism in the rudder that is in the wrong position and distributed the hydraulic fluids to the wrong places, causing the rudder to stop responding. This is based from what I watched the program, History Channel's "Modern Marvels." -
