Nightstop in Taipei International. 9M AVQ and 9M AVT in Taipei International. 9M AVT next to Thai Airforce Airbus in Naha Airport, Okinawa Island. 9M AVQ in Naha Airport. Thai Airforce Airbus next to 9M AVT Flying above Okinawa. City looks like a scene from Ultraman movie.

  4. I saw 9M-NAA inside Hangar 1 Subang Airport today. Aircraft is guarded all around.

  6. NH90 was chosen by the Australian A/F for their CSAR mission.
  7. If the public opinion matters, then the S61 will have to be replaced. My opinion is that the RMAF is giving S61 a bad name. In the civillian world there is not a single fatal crash involving the S61. All the Nuri replacement contenders except the Superpuma family are relatively new aircraft and are still considered not a mature product. EH101 has a tail pylon cracking problem that was a suspect causing it to crash(fatal) in Canada. AW 139 has a nose up attitude and Agusta has impose some operating limitation and S92 still have some vibration issues.
  8. Upgrade the Nuri to "full" CSAR capability for the Air Force and buy another type for Army tactical transport role. I have good experience maintaining the S61 and i can assure there is no airworthiness issue. My observation is sometimes the green light for the upgrade takes to long time by time it is approved the technology is out dated like in the case of last Nuri auto hover upgrade. The USAF is tipped to choose the upgraded Chinook (60's design like the S61) for their CSAR-X (next generation CSAR) beating NH90, S92 and EH101. Technical and tactical is not the only reason for selection. Another one is political. Any company which has the better political weight will win the contract. Now they are two camps- Agusta camps and Eurocopter camps. Both has their own political trump card.
  9. Just saw 9M-SPT s/n 760645(correction on s/n of my previous post) being unloaded from low loader. It is bound for Kerteh operation.
  10. My bet the SuperPuma L2 will be the replacement helicopter. Everybody seems to like French product lately with the 320,319,ATR orders.
  11. I would like to know which company is doing the maintenance? Is it SAE? Anybody knows?

Slight topic detour,Bomba russian made choppers are put under military registration because it did not have FAA type certificate for civillian use.For Bomba Agusta 109 it is under civillian reg 9M-BOA 9M-BOB. I speculate some 2 ringgit company got the contract to fly and maintain the jet under 9M.
  13. S76C++ s/n 760645 9M-SPS is already in Malaysia . Aircraft in MHS Aviation SZB hangar just completed CofA flt test for inclusion into MHS AOC. Arrived by Cargo Lux 2 weeks ago. Dry leased from Bristow for Miri operation. My information is that the A119 will be operated by Weststar Aviation.A Fira.
  14. When Tun M was admitted to IJN few months back, the owner of the blue GIV was one of the few selected person allowed to visit him in ward. Aircraft is operated for Petronas and Tun M uses 9M-ABC in his capacity as an advisor to Petronas.
