  1. where did u get that idea lam? for example - lauda air (austrian) codeshares with MH on the VIE-KUL-SYD route. when they joined star alliance, the codeshare with MH still remains. AF codeshare with QF on the SIN-Ozzie routes, even though they are from rival alliances. It should not be a problem for MH to codeshare with other airlines
  2. it seems that china eastern will still continue flights to KUL - albeit only at 2 weekly frequency. shenzhen airlines will fly daily KUL-SZX and twice weekly KUL-NNG (9 weekly flights)
  3. by the way guys....has transaero stopped flights to KUL? they have KUL on their route network, but not in the current flight schedules - only SIN, BKK, DPS. that didn't last very long, did it?
  4. you're right....CI used to fly MD11s from tpe-zrh via kul
  5. radzi....iran air's latest summer schedules ('06) show THR-KUL is twice weekly 747-100 - tuesdays and fridays. looks like their traffic to KUL warrants mor than a 747SP!
  6. thanks guys for your kind words! anyways..i'm sorry if i offended KK with my remarks....i'm just tired! got exams in May as well, which is my final part. anyways attan....thanks for your offer! will be coming home in august insyaAllah, so will definitely go spotting with u guys....if possible.
  7. i suppose they can attract the airlines that have stopped flying to kul such as ba, qf, af, nh, ku etc. to melaka. what a waste of good money.....
  8. KLIA is booming like it or not....probably due to AK's fast expansion. Nonetheless, it is growing every year. NOw that MH is reducing services to FRA, LH may be justified to increase services IF their 744 flights are doing ok. OS has made KUL/SYD their flagship service (0S001)...what else do you want? let's see how AY fares on their KUL route. and by the way...the half empty half full crap is just beyond me at the moment. probably because i have done 133 hours in 11 days looking after other people apart from myself. so just take it easy and get a life...
  9. bangkok has 12-15 million population... kl has 2 million klia's 23 million vs bkk's 37 million i say is not too bad sin is an anomaly...they recognised early enough (60s) that they had to be an aviation hub, and so developed their infrastructure. additionally, sin was the most important city in malaya at that time...so all airlines flew there as opposed to simpang airport
  10. well guys....here is the url http://www.airliners.net/discussions/gener...d.main/2693849/ ana, air macau have flown to kul before...so not on the above mentioned list...
  11. i was just reading the airliner.net forum....it seems like a 'major' airline that is 'fairly big' in asia and has never flown to kul, is planning to announce the new service tomorrow. can anyone guess? etihad, finnair, ua, sas, asiana??
  12. er...JL has been flying once daily 763 to NRT and once daily 763 to KIX via SIN for a few months now... in the good old days of subang, we used to have: PK 743 to KHI/SIN MK 74L to MRU/SIN BA tristars/742 to MAA/KWI/LHR/PER RJ 742 to AMM OK IL62 to DXB/PRG SU IL62/IL86 to DXB/DEL/TAS/SVO/SIN/SYD Sabena DC10/742 to DXB/BRU/SIN UT 743 to SIN/CGK/SYD/NOU/CMB/CDG TK 310 to SIN/IST SQ 757/310/737/743 to SIN TG 743 to BKK KU 763 to KWI Air seychelles 762 to SIN/SEZ JT D10 to BKK/SIN/DXB/BEG LZ 763 to DXB/SOF QF 763 to SIN/PER/SYD NZ 763 to SIN/AKL/CHC Ansett 763/743 to SIN/SYD
  13. also an amoi of the day...preferably on page 3
  14. thanks naim...that's pretty weird... back tracking another 20 km from the mtb... anyways......as the crow flies..its only 2 km!
  15. i really get annoyed when the newspapers keep on saying that the lcct in klia is 20km from the mtb. that's bullshit. its 2km away as the crow flies. even if u have to take the road all the way round....surely it can't be 20km???? rant over
  16. i thought it was the Tristars before the jumbo jets...unless they changed them from 747-100 to the Tristars in the early 80s before putting the 747-200 and 747-400 in the nineties on their kul route
  17. woooo hoooo! come on AF, don't be a party pooper! this is indeed good news....as opposed to the previous board that were only interested in lining their pockets and making enemies of all airlines (e.g. QF, BA, NW, AF).....now we have idris jala who is trying to gain AF's support for our application. good news indeed... watch this space!
  18. these so-called 'analysts' seem to be spewing utter bollocks.... FRA, ARN, DEL, BOM, MAA to be axed????? all the airlines the world over want to fly to india.....and MH can't make a profit? there must be another way.... get rid of the big 'bleeders' at the top....
  19. hahah...what a bunch of jokers. anyways....if you're malaysian, east or west, u should be able to understand malay. but i agree that there are other non-malaysians on the site who don't understand, bah! anyways...imran....go check out the 'tiger show' section in the general photography area!
  20. sv choong....you're right....at least SQ tried. mh tried many years ago during TR's failed attempts.... we managed to buy and bankrupt cambodia airlines and air maldives... well done MH....
  21. muaaaaaahahahahahahahahah!!!! sorry, couldn't resist. whoever thought that Australia would give SQ rights on their 'golden egg' route must be crazy!! and again.....hahahaha.....take that SQ and your plans for world domination!
  22. i thought otter was memerang.. hehehe
  23. haha...imran my man.... i'm at least 8 years older than u! well....when it gets to my palestinian brothers... i get a bit emotional! i know of quite a few palestinians in the uk...i sympathise with the things they had to go thro'.. i'm sorry if i have offended anyone in this forum...but my views still stand firm. on a lighter note.....lets see EY, WY and RJ in KUL. gulf air's smart move to fly from KUL-MCT nonstop has effectively blocked WY chances of taking over that route. they used to codeshare on KUL-BKK-MCT....is that still to continue?
  24. i never said the people of israel were terrorists....i have nothing against jews. they are also people of the book. what i meant was the the government of israel was propagating violence, and is no different to any other terrorist organisation in their tactics. read up on history young 'uns......life is not just about looking at airplanes. think about all the people suffering at the hands of oppression and violence...and that also includes israeli citizens for those who require detailed explanations... i will not say anymore...! sorry for going off in a tangent!
  25. its been discussed previously.... prev european carriers to kul/szb: czechoslovakian airlines UTA/AF jat yugoslavian turkish balkan bulgarian ?LOT polish airlines as well as the ones u mentioned earlier!
