Which terminal will they arrive/depart at?

I think Enrich's redemption availability depends on the commercial fare buckets. For example, if there's no D availability, the redemption rates will be higher as it books into the next lowest fare.

If you can the operating carrier to send an email to MH, the process can be expedited. I've done so a few times though it takes some convincing as you'll likely be told "that problem is for MH to solve".

If they operate IPH-KUL it wouldn't really make sense for KLites to fly. Ipoh is a 2+ hour drive, but it takes about an hour to get to KLIA. I can't imagine the connecting traffic being substantial enough to justify KUL over SZB.

Depends on how one defines "great". IMO the MH lounges are average at best. The F lounge lacks the "wow" factor with food more akin to Biz standard. The saving grace is it's much quieter than other OW F lounges like CX's The Wing or QF's F lounge which can get packed at peak hours.

Aren't there still some ML* birds in the fleet? Wouldn't want to be stuck in one of those for 5 hours.

The hold up AFTER the X-ray also gets me. They should take their stuff from the tray and move away from the machine. I've seen plenty of pax who try to grab their stuff before it's completely out of the machine, and just stand there waiting for the rest to come. Sure, not everyone is a frequent flyer and I get that, but it's super annoying when you hold up the line to put on your belt, watch, cap, jacket, sunglasses, then proceed to repack your amenity kit/liquids after lamenting to the officer about that 1 liter bottle of shampoo that was confiscated. You don't need to be a frequent flyer to have some consideration.

The problem is that you can't have total control over the background usage of data. For instance, once you're connected to wifi, some phones may automatically back up photos and other data. Needless to say the 1mb limit will be burst in no time.

"Hi mom, here's a selfie of me at 30,000ft. See you soon! P/S please don't reply as I probably won't be able to receive it anyway"

CX fares out of KUL are generally reasonable. Unless the MH codeshare fares are even lower it won't be of much use for most.

Haven't been keeping track of their destinations, but I'm surprised they don't already fly there!

31.5k for business is a fantastic deal for a 15 minute flight! Even better than 46.5k for biz to LHR!

I really hope they start SZB-SIN. The FY monopoly has led to ridiculous prices. Even the "promo" fares are expensive.

The general public don't care much, if at all, about the aircraft type. What scares them away is the name "malaysia airlines", not 772.

IIRC it wasn't a name change. Swissair went bust, then SWISS was started as a completely new airline.

I doubt a name change would make much of a difference. Tiger Airways was rebranded as Tigerair but many still think of it as the shabby LCC.

Go have a look at EK's flight paths for their LHR flights. Some overfly both Iraq AND Syria.
