  1. Agree with you. Basic flight from PEN-SIN and vv should be MAS's bread and butter stuff rather than having to transit up to 4 hours in KUL.
  2. MAS should think about restarting its KUL to MAN operations. Maybe with a brief stop over in the middle east or somewhere in Europe enroute. Lots of people are flying from MAN and other UK destinations to South East Asia and beyond with airlines from the middle east as it avoids the tricky transit in LHR.
  3. Riza, Regarding your Airline A and Airline B. It all depends if the two airlines have interline agreements. If yes then there will be no problems at all but if an interline agreement is a no, such as one segment being an budget airline then you may have to reclaim luggage and recheck them in. Hope this helps.
  4. Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad must avoid packing passengers into busses like sardines in a can. This practice is extremely off putting for the Malaysian air gateway users. There may also be an economical impact for Malaysia. After all with nearly 4 months of this before things improve, it is best getting it right now.
  5. Hi SLS, Having flown both on my return trips to M'sia from the UK, I would fly QR. The only thing which I dislike about the journey is Doha airport. If you don't mind a bit of a stampede when you arrive in Doha to get into the terminal then QR. Dubai has a much better airport. The other option which you may want to consider as suggested by SVC is EY. Flown them a few times and have never been dissapointed. Again airport in AUH is not the greatest. Good luck.
  6. just heard that all UK airspace is now open. For now that is. Many British flights returning to the UK.
  7. Does anyone know if any Malaysian planes are stuck in Europe? If so, where and since when.
  8. Bulkhead to me means screaming babies. Beware!
  9. Many thanks Pieter. Handy hints. Can't afford to spend too much time by being questioned and ......in a country that I am on transit.
  10. What lovely pics with the blue background of the sky. I know off topic a little but any tips on transitting in DOH?
  11. Hi Mun Chun, Go for Keith's option. It also seems like a more straight forward route. Anyhow not for me to tell you how to spend your hard earned dough!!
  12. Many thanks Yoong. I had an offer form a fellow MW member who had gladly posted the said magazine to me. So I have managed to read and digest the article concern and inspire me to make the voyage myself. Many thanks again. Particularly to the MW member who sent it to me whom I get the feeling would prefer to be anonymous.
  13. Hi Sharil, Returned to the UK mid Feb this year with MH. No problems what so ever. In fact it was the best that I have ever experienced in LHR. As usual got off the plane, queued at imigration with the world and his dog. By the time I got to the luggage carousel my suitecase was there. So....a definate improvement to how it use to be, in my experience that is. As for going. Get to airside early if you are using T3, by doing this you will avoid the bazaar on landside. Chill out on airside with a bite to eat and a nice drink before you get to your gate. Enjoy your trip.
