  1. Thanks. Any issue if I use some of this on other groups (without your name)? On another matter Im wondering if the snack boxes given out last month were actually a test run for what's happened?
  2. and the bloggers etc are now running with the story https://onemileatatime.com/news/malaysia-airlines-catering-mess/?fbclid=IwAR0NW0_PLUZxVb57pRndCGeap1uVS6_O1Satk6rJ9WE5hV58HM2zn8s-nKE
  3. Frankly it's disgrace that its ended up like this. Yes people can make excuses add politics etc but look at to from a passenger and reputational perspective it a disaster. If there was no other viable option then they should have stayed with Brahims until they had a sensible plan. Although not MH - It's just like the aero train, wait until it's broke, only then start working on a plan and then that goes wrong. No proper airport style bus and only after it's a sh*#show so they add some proper airport bus types. Somebody should be fired for this mess
  4. what was the outstanding payment for ?

  10. Malaysia Airports Issues Notice Of Termination To Pestech Technology For Automated People Mover Project At Kl International Airport SEPANG - Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd (MA Sepang), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), has issued a notice of termination on 16 August 2023 to PESTECH Technology Sdn Bhd (PTSB), in respect to the contract for the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning for the Automated People Mover (APM) at KL International Airport (KLIA). PTSB had been appointed by MA Sepang as the Design and Build (D&B) contractor for the KLIA Aerotrain Replacement Programme on 14 December 2021 through an open tender process. The termination is due to amongst others PTSB’s non-performance, compromising significant project milestones and risking delays to deliver the project within the required deadline. This decision was taken by MAHB’s Board of Directors, in adherence to MAHB’s principles of governance and based on rigorous monitoring of the progressive development of the APM project by MAHB's management and its independent consultants. PTSB has been found to be in material breach of its obligations under the contract and had failed to remedy the same within the specified time period. Following this Notice of Termination, which was preceded by a Notice of Default to PTSB, MA Sepang will be enabled to recommence and complete the works through the engagement of other relevant parties, with a focus on ensuring the project is completed on schedule. MAHB remains committed to assign the necessary resources in order to minimise any potential delays to the APM Project. With immediate effect, MA Sepang will expedite consultation and discussions with all existing stakeholders who are presently involved in the APM Project for continuity and to mitigate any delays. These include working closely with all relevant parties involved in the replacement project of the train’s tracks and system, as well as identifying an experienced and credible third-party contractor to ensure consistent progress of all project components. “This project is of significant importance to ensure the comfort and convenience of our passengers travelling through KL International Airport. Our focus moving forward is on the timely delivery of the aerotrain while observing stringent quality control and safety standards of the project, with no compromise to our operations and governance processes,” said Dato’ Sri Iskandar Mizal Mahmood, Managing Director of MAHB. https://www.malaysiaairports.com.my/media-centre/news/malaysia-airports-issues-notice-termination-pestech-technology-automated-people?fbclid=IwAR0jsDqHFkhFGoZNO2VwL2PzuBBISs0FpSfDQ7NI7bffDAMLkO9r1QeVnZw
  11. MH149/148 are now showing as operated by a A359 from late 31 Dec 2023
  12. I remember reading on here that during an MH townhall they announced that were going to put A332/A333's on some Singapore flights. Im guessing that this is shelved owing to the lack of aircraft?
  13. Have recently seen some pretty poor J class reviews of this cabin on various groups and another 5 yerars of that crap cabin doesn't do the reputation of the airline any good.
  14. Thx, I had it in my mind that Qatar used to have more all year round. Perhaps I mixed it up with Changi.
  15. I believe that Qatar are only operating 1x per day with an MH codeshare taking the 2nd slot.
  16. also possible during weekend engineering works or when they run a combined service owing to an incident,
  17. Have not used SQ to KUL for a while owing to cost and my focus on Oneworld. Thats a quite a reduction in schedule to KUL, I guess people are not willing to pay top $
  18. During CV19 it was all one service but they are 2 separate services using different rolling stock (most of the time).
  19. KLIA Express back to a 20 min frequency from Aug 1 https://www.edgeprop.my/content/1906722/klia-ekspres-train-frequency-raised-every-20-minutes-starting-aug-1 KUALA LUMPUR (July 26): Come Aug 1, KLIA Ekspres trains that connect KL Sentral to KLIA Terminal 1 and 2 will run every 20 minutes every day, including national holidays, said its operator Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL). In a statement on Tuesday (July 26), ERL said the first train from KL Sentral will be at 5am, while the first train departure from KLIA Terminal 2 will be at 4.55am. Meanwhile, the last train will depart from both terminals at 12am. "For KLIA Transit, the train schedule remains the same except for the removal of one trip from Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station toKL Sentral at 07.59am on week days. Service frequency during weekday peak hours is maintained at every 15 minutes," said the operator.
  20. Have seen reports that the catering in the KLIA domestic lounge has changed to Plaza Premium which has resulted in marked improvement in quality and choice. Looks like an egg station has been introduced as well as some western breakfast items. Was in the regional lounge yesterday and there are also some improvements. Different serving dishes, perhaps a few more but can't be sure Bread/kuah was covered Fresh sandwiches made to order similar to pre covid but better Snacks available at the bar which was also manned Tea station so no need to queue at the counter Dilmah tea instead of Boh' Most of the points above have been raised in feedbacks and surveys Ive submitted over the past few months.
  21. These days the check in staff at Singapore are very strict. No return ticket then cannot fly on the MH plane
  22. I referring to the section at the far end of KLIA arrival hall L3 near door G1 where the now retired/disused KLIA Transit station is.
  23. On another note I see from Malaysia Airports FB side that the KLIA Hard Rock Cafe is now open at Satellite Terminal. The one in KL is pretty pricy so goodness knows what this one will be like.
  24. Whilst I quite like KLIA T1 I don't think the design/layout is great Some common personal annoyances I have are: lack of F&B at the G&H gates Landside F&B is ok if you have an efficient and well staff immigration system but with the frequent big queues you need to arrivals hours early or no time to grab a coffee let alone food lack of space for retail, F&B at the satellite resulting in small and cramped units Cluttered and cramped feeling at the satellite terminal Aerotrain should have been underground like the one in Dubai L3 arrivals has a lot off wasted space at the end where the old KLIA transit station was built KLIA transit & Express stations should have been combined from the start Upper levels of the satellite should be easily accessible no seats at the grab car pickup area at L1
