  1. The maintenance work is still in progress but slow due to some restrictions.
  2. And those immigration counters are at worst, very long queue. I guess one of the 2018 newcomer airline is Gulf Air (Bahrain) , and my wishful thinking of Lufthansa (Germany) , Air France (France) , Kuwait Airways (Kuwait) and Iran Air (Iran) make a comeback. These countries except Iran, are the countries that are not yet present in KLIA.
  3. Let focus back on 'MAS privatization'thread. The Regional Golden Lounge will be open on 3rd October following by closure of satellite terminal lounge for upgrading and refurbishment work.
  4. The likely candidates to be taken are D-ABXC, D-ABXD, D-ALPI, D-ALPJ, D-ABXE and D-ABXF. Since they operated on older PW4168 (have slightly reduce thrust ratings which is better for regional use) rather than MH A333 (PW4170), MAB seeks for support agreement with Pratt. And yes, the seat in Y class will reconfigure to 32 inch seat pitch, usually takes 2-4 days to finish per aircraft.
  5. Wanna try the new website again? Go to other regional MH website such as Japan, Hong Kong. Happy exploring!
  6. As I being informed, light maintenance will only be carry on by MAB powerplant crew. Other than that, further maintenance of the engine e.g Trent 900 and PW4070, soon Trent XWB will be transported to Singapore by freighter aircraft such as Cargolux when needed. They decided to choose GEnx-1B because of commonality with LEAP-1B on their future B737 MAX and both are Boeing. But for flight crew perspective, I do not have so much clue.
  7. Malaysia Airlines in today’s schedule update (10AUG17) opened reservation for planned Airbus A350-900XWB operation, set to enter service in winter 2017/18 season. Currently, the first A350 operating route available for reservation is Kuala Lumpur – London Heathrow route, gradually replacing A380. Configuration of the A350 is F4C31Y251. Planned A350 service entry date as follow (KUL departure). eff 15JAN18 MH004/001 eff 05MAR18 MH003/002 MH004 KUL0900 – 1525LHR EQV D MH002 KUL2315 – 0455+1LHR EQV 6 MH002 KUL2330 – 0535+1LHR EQV x6 MH003 LHR1000 – 0700+1KUL EQV D MH001 LHR2125 – 1825+1KUL EQV D Based on current schedule, the airline’s A380 service to London Heathrow will see last flight on 04MAR18 from KUL, 05MAR18 from LHR.
  8. Already implemented to all 6 A380s with 35" seat pitch and the pricing as below; While A350 prices higher.
  9. maybe sort of Economy Plus with extra legroom as we can see just like 2 rows Y+ behind J class in A330. A380 also has the same thing, the seats counted 486 as 494 previously reported.
  10. pk-lqk departed from KUL now, live on fr24
  11. How I wish it turn to be 8 abreast but i guess it will be 9 abreast.
  12. The airline said it has had “very attractive offers from bankrupt European airlines,” and is “meeting with lessors this week.” - Aviation Daily. That makes sense as Airberlin is facing insolvency right now.
  13. Rumours that Peter B. is trying to negotiating Airberlin A332 with AerCap as 10 leased aircraft is reclaimed back. And it's Pratt Whitney powered engine!
  14. This come when D7 9M-XXT RR engine got problem at Australia. but they no choice either as future A330neo solely on RR
  15. And newest MAB centre tail logo aligned well with A350 and B787 fin shape, so-so with 9M-MXS
  16. make it 1-2-1 in J and 2-4-2 config in Y and i dont mind to fly with 787. Still find A333 is comfortable.
  17. it's subjective question, I can say. it all depends upon operator seat configuration. e.g, i had try Kuwait B777W, it's very spacious with 9 abreast config and so-so with KLM. But for operational cost, A350 has the advantage.
  18. I thought it was supposed to go Batik Air Indonesia (ID)
  19. they got excess of A330 as for now due to their A380 are flying Tokyo and Incheon route.
  20. LNL parked at remote parking nearby KLIA Cargo Village.
  21. based on Vantage LOPAS with reference to MH, the seats on A359 has wider seat width from 23-25" as compared to 20.6-22.3" on A333.
  22. No idea. what I heard before, MAB intends to letgo 4 B738 this year, most probably non BSI cabin 737.
  23. 2 leased end B737-800 has been transferred to Andes Lineas Aereas ex 9M-FFD new reg LV-GWL delivery date 17 May 2017 ex 9M-FFE new reg LV-HHK delivery date 14 July 2017
