  2. This is too expensive to be just a standby aircraft. But with just one, kinda weird to slot it into regular scheduling.
  3. The ownership rules require a full citizenship no? Surely holders of OCI do not qualify if it equates to just a green card status?
  4. They have their 3 class A380 for their flagship routes which has 1-2-1 J seats. I can live with their 2-3-2 777 if they offer lower J fares than the others
  5. Hows the cabin after all this while? As much as I am happy for the 744 to be flying pax again, I wont be happy if I booked the flight expecting the A388 but instead seeing the 744 at the gate. I hope they tell those pax in advance.
  6. They did a round of upgrading to the toilets at the Main Terminal Building before this. But curiously left out all the other toilets at satellite and contact pier in the same state as they were back in 1998
  7. Malaysia can never get a break when it comes to this. Even that D7 Bali double medical emergency incident was widely reported by the Australian media.
  8. Worth it if you are going just for the acrobatic displays. Not worth it if you are visiting the static displays as the queue will be really long and some of the planes will be gone tomorrow. BTW I just checked, there are still tickets for public days. I distinctly remember in 2014 it was sold out about a week before. Not sure if less people buying or they are admitting more visitors this year
  9. Not really. I know of some who find it difficult to adjust especially those with families staying back in Malaysia. The singles ones meanwhile are having the time of their life.
  10. That's the direction most carriers go nowadays. Intricate tail, euro white base and a simple title at the front. Perhaps just Malaysian? That's the best compromise between style and weight saving

  12. Relax lah cikgu. I was on KUL KIX via SGN yesterday. Flights were full because of CNY but otherwise everything was ok
  13. I will only use ERL if I need to utilise the city check in. Otherwise I'm a big fan of the busses.
  14. Boeing can only look with envy. IR will be Airbus exclusive for many, many years to come thanks to Uncle Sam. We will soon have ME4 if they can get everything right

  16. I like it. And they still have the dragon near the door. CX's brand power is so strong that it is logical for them to strengthen it even more
  17. If you can go for the trade days, by all means please go. Much less crowded, more planes and all booths open. On public days people will be crawling all over the place, queues will snake to all the planes on static display, some booths will be empty as they sometimes pack up after the last trade day and also most passenger jets will depart back on the last trade day. Most if not all military ones will stay till the end. ROKAF Black Eagles should perform on both public days. I don't expect the A350 to stay

  21. Low on cash probably. Their forward bookings have dipped last I heard. Their sales are no longer as attractive as they were a few years back resulting in many people not willing to commit to buying tickets so many months in advance

  23. What was the problem? Maybe it was KLIA's fault? My last flight with EK had problems too. They announced that our baggage will be about one hour plus late to arrive at the carousel.
